As far as I know, there is no option installed to select the operating mode at all.
It's my fist robot without pendant and I thought all the time it would have to be in AUTO because everything seems to require that to work...
No idea, I think the electricians have connected only the cap that is tied with a small "chain" to the cabinet to the plug where the pendant should be connected.
If you don't have the optional switch box and also no (hardware) remote mode switch connected to JRT3 you need to use the jumper connector for JRT3. Check with FANUC (or check the scope of delivery of your system) if the jumper connector has been delivered.
Do you have an AoA backup? If yes, please open the SUMMARY.DG or ORDERFIL.DAT with a text editor and check the installed options. If you don't have one of the above hardware options for the mode selection there must be another option, e.g. TP Mode Select or External Mode Select.
Have you ever been able to open the iRProgrammer on that robot?

Looks good so far. Click next again to deploy the project and after that active the project.

am i ready to deploy ??
Basically yes. But you have to correct the error to be able to load the project on the controller.
I'm not sure about the "Error in DTM EtherNet/IP" error. Unfortunately I'm not familiar with EtherNet/IP used in combination with a KUKA controller. Open the EtherNet/IP tab in the project structure to see if there is something wrong or missing.

do i still need to activate the controller by double clicking the krc4 on the left?
Yes. In the project structure under hardware please double-click on KR C4 to activate the controller.
Could you share some screenshots? It would be easier to follow and to support. I'm not in the office at the moment and therefore, I can't go through it myself.

ok this is new. i closed WOV, and re-opened it to the very first page, connected the krc to the laptop and i got
Cell WINDOWS CC-PQ9LL
0-(172.17.-----
i assume the 172 is my laptops IP address.
but maybe not. I expanded that by hitting the + sign and i get the info from the robot with its previous owners pet name for it, and
1 base project
1 initial project
1 initial project 1. v1.0..0.0
and
a lab_rob xxxx
very exciting does this mean it is connected?
how do i piing
Yes. You are now connected to the controller. One of these projects is activated (the project marked with the little green "arrow"). Simply highlight it and click open.

I must activate the TP to be able to keep working in a robot without TP.
It worked, something changed and now it is not working anymore, I can't access the irProgrammer, neither I can jog the robot.
By default you should normally be able to access the iRProgrammer from the web server. Which messages do you get when trying to open the iRProgrammer?
Do you have a backup from the point where it was possible to connect to the controller with the iRProgrammer? If yes, I would recommend to perform a restore.
If I understood correctly, you don't have a TP nor the optional switch box. Which option is installed on the controller to select the operating mode?
Did you connect all jumper connectors on the front of the controller? At least the jumpers for the TP and the JRT3 connector?
If I select SOFT OPERATOR PANEL :: a white web page with a lot of text appears:
The Soft Operator Panel won't help you with this issue because you can't change the operating mode from the Soft Operator Panel. You can only do some limited stuff with the Soft Operator Panel.
-
If you don't have a TP nor the optional switch box you need to plug in a jumper connector to JRT3 located on the front of the Compact controller.
If I remember correctly the jumper connector has a separate order number. Check the maintenance manual for the Compact controller (e.g. B-84035EN/04) for detailed information.

hi DS I have been working with WOV a bit, I am still not connected to the controller
i have managed to activate a controller, and i have field busses and KCB open in the mapping section. but i do not have EM8905-1001 I/O-Modul. available . Do i have to have the controller connected for the em8905-1001 module to show up?? i have "cabinet interface board small robot " under the field buss KCB tab
How did you do that without being connected to the controller? Have you created an offline project? I won't recommend this unless you are an experienced user.
However, the first and most important thing for you is to connect to the controller as described in some earlier posts.
thanks to both of you for your continued help. I feel like i am making very slow progress, but progress is being made. Are there any online KUKA training videos for this?
Apart from the paid training courses, KUKA offers a few different e-learnings and webinars. You will find them on the KUKA website. See here for the WoV webinar.

i do have the wov 6.0 onboard help file, but is there a download for a manual?
You can download the WoV 6.0 manual from KUKA Xpert.

I mean a simple krc4 kr210 basic software no software extras standard accuracy no ip67
There is not the one simple basic standard KR 210. See the overview about the available variants.
I would guess that the list price for a (more or less) basic KR 210 R2700-2 will start from 50k or 55k (€ in my case). But again, for a reliable price you should contact KUKA sales (or whoever the seller is).
-
What is the price for 1 robot ? (not discount price)
What robot? A KUKA KR210? If yes, it really depends on the variant you are planning to buy. There are huge differences.
To get a reliable price I would recommend to contact your local KUKA sales rep and ask for a quote.
-
There is not only one basic KR210. There are many different variants available.
The actual price depends on many different factors, such as:
The total number of robots bought from a manufacturer, if you are an KUKA Official System Partner, FANUC ASI, ABB Value Provider, etc., if you are a system integrator, etc. All these things can have a significant impact on the individual price/discount.
Basically one can say that the list price for a FANUC or KUKA is normally less than for a (comparable) ABB. I can't say anything about Yaskawa because I have no experience with them.

Check the EtherNet/IP user manual and the EDS file of your device. Both is available for download from the Parker website.
-
The position register data are saved in POSREG.VR.
-
Yes, all of them are paid options.
-
Select MENU > SETUP > Prog Select and check "General override < 100%" and "Prog override < 100%". Set both checks to DISABLE.
-
Would be nice if you would share the result afterwards.
