This is very helpful. Thank you so much!
So far, no error codes.
I have configured the Festo node via the FESTO maintenance tool.
I will check what you have described and report back with my progress, thanks again!

it should be straightforword, but i cant get it to work! even on the real robot.
i am using a festo node (CPX-FB36) with an 8 digital input device attached(CPX-AB-8-M8-3POL)
i have run thrue your list and done the folowing:
1. Enabled Fieldbus.
2.removed local I/O , but added 8 signals to Master, so 8 signals in total
3. Removed the ARM ID IO allocation.
4. Aux Function 060802 Assign Ports to physical interface and set Master as 12 (Software Ethernet/IP option) and Slave as 0.
5. Reboot and confirmed Software Ethernet/IP status was in the monitoring area - displaying Adapter/Scanner 1-3 all in Grey and OFFLINE.
6. Aux Function 060801 and set allocation of signals which was just Master (1 - 16 set as 1).......and Master (1001 - 1016 set as 1001) - I disabeled all dedicated signals, and
7. Aux Function 06080901 Port Setting and set an IP Address for Port 2 (which is the bottom port on the 1VA - I set this to 192.168.1.5
8. I then set my extended IO module IP address on the module to 192.168.1.2
9. set the folowing in 06080904 in acordance to the FESTO EDS
Instance = 1
IP Address: 192.168.1.2 (IP of the festo node)
TargetConfigConnInstance = I set to 102 (from the assembly section above). CONFIG
TargetProducingConnPoint = I set to 101 (from the assembly section above). INPUT
TargetConsumingConnPoint = I set 1020(from the assembly section above). OUTPUT
10.
i set the inputscanner size to 5 (ez-eds lists the data block size as 4+1byte of Digital input)
Outpuscanner set 0 (no output used)
the monitor shows everything offline and gryed out.....
i am new to all of this any amount of help would be greatly appreciated
<- from festo CPX manual
Thanks for the answer Kwakisaki!
I have tried and tried again; nothing comes online. I will move on to a physical robot. If I succeed with K-roset I will be sure to update you.
Hello
I have tried to recreate the software ethernetIP communication described in this post but with no success. I am using K-roset to communicate with a Festo node (CPX-FB36).
Can K-roset be used for this or do I need a real robot controller?
