I am working on a project that trying to save some cycle time. Currently there is lift going up and down to transfer the sled, once the sled is transferred to the down position, the robot will come in and drop the part.
Currently I am trying to let the robot come in and drop the part on the sled while the sled is transferring by the lift from up position to down position. The lift is VFD controlled, no position feed back, we can probably calculate the speed but it is probably not very accurate. Since the robot EOAT is having the part, it is not possible to install distance sensor on the EOAT to monitor the distance between robot EOAT and the sled. I am not sure if line tracking will help in this case since it is moving vertically. Any idea is appreciated, thank you!
