We recently got a new IRC5 control unit for our robot and since then we've hat the old unit sitting around (ABB didn't want to take it back).
Among other interesting things, there's the servo drivers (3HAC14546-6, plus there's a single servo driver, rectifier and capacitor bank). I was wondering if there's documentation on how they can be interfaced, i. e. pinouts, communication protocol, electrical specs, etc.
So are these units purpose-built for IRC5, or can they (legally - I'm not looking into reverse engineering proprietary hardware) be used for other applications too? The ABB library hasn't been helpful so far.
I'd be very grateful for any information on this.
