Is it possible to set up a Comau robot to have it Save set all backup through MDT. If so how would i go about doing so?

Did you delete the 7th axis from the maintenance menu under controlled start? If not, that is probably your problem.I did delete the 7th axis from the maintenance menu under controlled start. But it still shows the robot and servogun. Maybe im doing it wrong. could you refresh my memory on the correct way in deleting a 7th axis.

SRVO-223 DSP dry run (%d,%d)
Cause: A servo DSP initialization failure occurred due to hardware failure or wrong software setting. Then, the software
entered DSP dry run mode. The first number indicates the cause of the failure. The second number is extra
information.
Remedy: Perform an action according to the first number that is displayed in the alarm message.
1: This is a warning due to $SCR.$STARTUP_CND=12.
2,3,4,7: Replace a servo card.
5: Invalid ATR setting. Software axis config (FSSB line number, hardware start axis number, amplifier number, and
amplifier type) might be wrong.
6: SRVO-180 occurs simultaneously. Controllable axis does not exist on any group. Execute aux axis setting to add
axis at controlled start.
8,10: SRVO-058 (FSSB init error) occurs simultaneously. Follow the remedy of SRVO-058.
9: There is no amplifier that is connected to the servo card.
• Check the hardware connection.
• Check the optical fiber cable.
• Check whether the servo amlplifier power is supplied.
• Check whether the fuse on the servo amplifier has blown.
• Replace the optical fiber cable.
• Replace the servo amplifier.
11: Invalid axisorder setting. Non-existing axis number is specified. Software axis config (FSSB line number) might be
wrong or auxiliary axis board is necessary.
12: SRVO-059 (Servo amp init error) occurs simultaneously. Follow the remedy of SRVO-059.
13,14,15: Document the events that led to the error, and contact your FANUC technical representative.Your SRVO-223 was followed by 9,1. It would appear that the servo amp is a likely cause. Have you checked everything out as far the remedy in bold goes?
I should have mentioned that there is no amp for a 7th axis anymore. I also went into controlled start and changed the app select from spot to material handling. could the issue be there because of the servo amp that was removed or from the main amp.
also where do i look for number 11 at???
11: Invalid axisorder setting. Non-existing axis number is specified.

I mean that just like any computer, there is a reason that IT always tells you to turn it off and back on again before anything else. Always take a backup before cycling power if you are not 100% sure about the status of the robot, just in case you lose all memory. Some faults i have had have cleared themselves on the second power cycle, not the first. In general, if i don't know what the problem is, i try to be sure to have done two power cycles before i start messing with anything too severe.
Totally agree, always make sure backup is taken. Well an update on my progress. I took Images/Backups. I replaced fuses, re seated both amps, checked wiring/cables. still no luck.

Take an image and all of above backup, and cycle power again. Always a good starting place for no-cost diagnostics.Already took an Image and Backup. what do you mean by (Always a good starting place for no-cost diagnostics.)

You said your encoder overheated and stopped working? So this was the problem, no? I'm unsure what you mean by dress pack unit open, I'm assuming you just replaced the cable, rebooted your controller, and problem solved? Was trolling through threads looking for answers on my issue, when i came across senthil_1982 thread. I basically got an older junkyard robot shipped to me. After powering it on there were multiple blown fuses, and normal errors. After replacing fuses. and re powered i now have the 2 SRVO errors mentioned above. But before i go through the trouble of replacing stuff though i could find out if there is an easier way to fix my issue.
I have no active alarms ( but unable to jog the robot)
under Motion ALARM I HAVE
MCTL-003 system is in error status
SRVO-012 Power failure recovery
SRVO-223 DSP dry run (9,1)
SRVO-058 FSSB 1 init error (2)any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a robot with these same issues.
1) Servo -223 Alarm - DSP Dry Run alarm
2) Servo -058 Alarm - FSSB Init Error.
what would be the quickest fix? -
