Hi Mattias,
Hope you are well. Things have progressed since we last spoke.
Take4D (http://www.take4d.com) is a very advanced rig solver and virtual studio system. It will handle ANY linear linked rig that you can build (one axis attached to another - each with just 1 degree of freedom). I haven even used it on Nettmann Super-G helicopter gyro-stabilised rigs.
Brochure (http://take4d.com/products/Take4D_Overview_v2.pdf)
- It handles the complete pipeline from revisualisation, to shooting, to post-production. We often completely eliminate all move matching by recording and converting filnal calibrated motion control camera work from rig directly back to 3D via FBX or Nuke file formats.
- It will DYNAMICALLY solve for Milo, Cyclops, Modular, Kuka, Genu-flux, Wotan, Talos, and more out of the box. See Kuka demo on our Vimeo page... (https://vimeo.com/77487429).
- It takes all position, velocity, acceleration, and jerk limitations into account for every axis, and has 2 different solvers for different applications (one based on PID, one not).
- It will handle both Entertainment camerawork AND Industrial tool path mapping for any robot.
- It can either export & import file based motion control files, or bi-directionally stream real time data.
- It has real time lens distortion and nodal point correction.
- It can stream real time data live into third party products including Maya and MotionBuilder (more on request).
- It handles Hexapod motion bases (or model movers) and has advanced "splitting" tools to distribute the work between both model mover and motion control camera if one or the other is incapable of achieving required dynamics.
and more...
- We can provide product to your studio OR work directly with you to service your projects on a pro-rata rate. And if you need tools that don't already exist in the package - we can rapidly write them in as required.
I truly believe that Take4D will answer all of your questions that you have raised in this thread.
Please feel free to call for a demonstration.
