I'm trying to figure out how to calculate the feeder size for a drop to my robot controller. I have a R-30iB controller with a R-2000iC robot. In the manual they have two options for power consumption. Input power Capacity and Average power consumption. What does everyone use?

I took the Fanuc Ethernet class and they did not go over any of this, I guess what can you do when it's only a 4 hour class.

I just need help with understanding the ports on the Controller and the difference between CD38A and CD38B.
Attached is how we have the network set up with a local (robot controlled devices) and PLC control from CD38A.
And CD38B for back ups to the network.
Is this a common set up? Or are there other ways to accomplish this?

I've seen some panels where inputs have 24V on them when off and 0V when on, but you could write the robot program to check for an off signal in that case, right?
Looks like you have a mix of PNP and NPN in your facility.
I have a R-30iB controller
I want to interface with an area scanner that has two zones.
When a person enters the first zone the speed is reduced and limited to 250mm/s
When a person enters the second zone the robot comes to a controlled stop.
Then a button to resume robot program. (once person is out of second zone)
I have the operators manual for DCS because my Fanuc contact told me to start there. Its not very clear on where to find it and I need some help
