I have no idea why they removed the wrist. I was not involved in any of this. I told them the axis 4 motor was going out and they took it upon themselves to mess everything up without consulting me and then want me to fix the aftermath.
Yes, it is a M94A.
I've commutated everything, fine calibrated, updated rev counters. I've checked the parameters for axis 5 and compared them to other M94A robots we're running without problems and I don't see anything off there either. It's just odd that running a program in automatic there's no issues. Same with using the joystick and doing linear/orientation movements because I can watch axis 5 move without issue, it just faults out when you try to isolate that joint and move it individually with the joystick.
Is your weld wire staying stuck to the material when the robot tries to move? I`ve seen this happen a lot.
You should be able to just go into the welddata and decrease the weld speed for that particular weld, provided that it has its own separate data for that weld
The robot computer, which in your model appears to be DSQC 335, is comprised of the axis computer and the I/O computer
Don't know if this will help you or not, but you could change out your memory board to a DSQC324, which is a 16MB board. I saw someone else mentioned the 16MB board, but I thought a part number might help.
The zip file has BaseWare 3.0 Disks 1-4, Teach Pendant language disks 1 & 2, IRB Boot disk and Advanced Functions. Hope this helps.
First time poster here. Recently I informed my boss that the axis 4 motor was going out on one of our robots. They replaced that motor, took off the wrist assembley and now axis 5 faults out whenever you try to move it. If you move linearly, reorient or just run a program... axis 5 moves without any problems, but as soon as you try to move it individually via the TPU it gives 2 faults and throws the robot into a system failure.
The faults are as follows:
Unexpected error INTERNAL
An unexpected errorhas occured. Report this error with the following code and describe the cirumstabnce,
tsksup.c 160 Assert: status == OK, file geo_st.c, line 4237

My boss alleges that he called ABB about this problem and they have never heard of it, so I thought I would see if anyone else has experiences this problem. Thanks.
(Note: I included pictures of these errors. Apologies if they seem dark; they were well lit on my phone)
