After changing components between cabinets I've found that the software in fact IS KRC1. After a reinstall of the software the cabinnet booted up correctly and I'm now about to wire the safety and see if the robot moves.
Thanks for the help so far!

Thanks for the reply!
The folder was named KRC1 and when I started the setup it said that VKRC1 was about to be installed.
Can I just take a standard version of WIN95 or is it a special version that's needed?

OK, I'll go search for a new HDD and the right software in the mean time.
I did notice something about the software located on the D:-disc though. It has the software for VKRC1 and not VKRC2, is this an indication that the files on the HDD has been tempered with? Seems a bit odd... -
Thanks for the reply!
Is it possible to take the HDD from the other cabinet and just install it and boot up? Or should I find a brand new one and install WIN95 and the Kuka software?

Hi,
I'm currently trying to start up two robots that has been standing in a warehouse for quite some time. The cabinets are both VKRC2 and one of them seems to have been tempered with, some vital components are missing, so I'm worrying about that one later.
Now to the problem with the other cabinet. The hardware seems to be correct and it starts up and windows boots normally, but when the HMI starts it doesn't get past the loading screen. The cursor is visible and movable (with a mouse and keyboard connected) so the entire computer hasn't frozen but that's about it..
I have read different threads on this subject and one suggested a communication error inside the cabinet, but I can't find where the communication settings in windows can be changed (I'm to young to be familiar with Windows 95).
Does anyone have any ideas? All responses is appreciated!
