Hi,
so what we learned?
As soon as we have a working system make a copy of the hard drive (until the next major change) and a copy of the krc (KRCDiag until the next ma ....)
Longtime ago I learned this sequence: Grandfathr , father, son
Otherwise a lot of pain
(better wasting 1h than 1d)

Hi panic mode,
I would like to send you a pm
How can I do that?
regards
MOM
Hi,
actuellay the reason why this is not included in KRCDiag is simply because is it not important
regards
MOM
Hi,
yes, but this is the identifier for the hard disk, an this may change

Hi,
starting with KSS 8.2 I could not find an am.ini with GUID in the KRCDiag*

MOM
Hi,
that is why I asked for the KSS Version (GUID started with KSS V8.3)
regards
MOM
Hi;
as you can find in "READ FIRST" we really kindly to ask you which KSS Version do you actually use?
KSS 8.2 WinXPe
KSS 8.3 Win7e
KSS 8.6 Win10e
Maybe there could be some diffs

Hi panic mode,
do you have a some explanation for that, what is it?

MOM
Hi,
I think the name of this tool is called "sysprep" and you should find your version somewhere in your windows directory (You need the version of your OS System). It is also changing the SID (=>have a closer look that)
But I think the problem with your WV is a different one (Service running on your KRC)!

Hi,
as SkyFire suggested, use only the backup on that machine where you have taken it before.
Besides the ID address there is also the name of the PC which needs to be changed.

Hi,
yes, but you simulate a plc. I think in case you would waste more in- and outputs.
Why not just using AUT instead of EXT? Is there a special reason for that?
regards
MOM
Hi,
$DRIVES_ON and $EXT_START are declared as I/O signal (see configuration) and therefore needs to be connected to an input.

Hi,
it took me a long time to figure out on how to answer all your questions
With DOF you probably mean Degree Of Freedom
Answer question 1 and 2: you just choosed the wrong type of robot
Standard robots have a DOF of 6 (which is actually the number of axes)
With these types of robot one Frame in space will have x, y, z, rot_x, rot_y and rot_z (DOF = 6)
But actually you do not tell us whether you are talking about robots or cnc machines
So please do not ask in general and try to be more specific

Hi,
this actually is something which has to defined in a "STYLE GUIDE"!
Some one likes to do it with an underscore
Someone likes to do it with lower or uppercase CamelCase
Someone likes to do it with hungarion notation
As long as it is defined in a style guide and all the others follows it is Ok

MOM
Hi,
there is also another option:
user lower or upper CamelCase

Hi SkyFire,,
suggestion:
send me your robot program and needed values from config.dat and I will try to solve the problem

MOM
Hi SkyFire,
I would suggest read the "READ First" as you suggesting.
I'm running with the program directly selected in T1, the "source" part of the error message matches that program name, and there's nothing named "ID" in the SPS either.
So, you have the program name and you have the line number (if fold closed just the line number where the folds starts, if fold is open the line number which is actually causing the problem)
Just a guess:
You probably initialize something (what exactly?)
Then jump somewhere in the middle of nowhere.
And than expect that everything is working as expected? - To me a nice guess (I was just trying to very friendly)
A collegue of mine did the same thing and afterwards was wondering why getting an internal error 14!
First thing I suggest:
start from beginning of your code and check wherever you jump that all of the variables, structures, arrays and frames are initianialized!
You actually declared the variables (whatever they will be - otherwise you would get the "0bject not declared" message), but at the time you are asking for, they are not initialized or set (maybe just a return code of a function) and this is because you are not follow the sequence of the program by selecting "Block Select".
If this is the TM then you should end there

Hi,
I just made another check.
I opened the fold
Selected first line of this fold
started the program
got the error message, also telling me the program name and the line number
