Do you know what version of robot you have? Anything v9.4 or higher exports .ls files with a "LOCAL_REGISTERS" line in the program settings at the top. Unless someone else has a solution, I have not been able to download these .ls files to the robot via USB until I delete this line. Maybe this would be something you can check?

I know this is years out, but here is what I have found out.
We are working with a V7.4 robot and had issues attempting to download some .pc files. I opened up the backdate.dt file of our robot in RoboGuide and was unable to compile our .kl into a .pc. I kept getting the GET_STR_REG and SET_STR_REG to fail.
I then did some testing and started at V9.4 and compiled the same .kl file. It worked. Did V8.3 - worked. Did V7.7 - it worked. Did V7.4 - it fails. Did V7.5 - it worked.
@teomannaskali it seems like Fanuc had a KAREL language update after V7.4 that included GET_STR_REG() and SET_STR_REG(). This is probably why it cannot be found in the manual (Karel Reference Manual Ver 7.3 Rev B).
Does anyone know a manual that describes what these two functions do? I want to attempt to replicate what the functions do, using V7.4. Could I also upgrade the robot to V7.7?

it seems to run the function fine on the pendant. must just be a bug in workvisual.

Hello,
I am trying to implement a Wiest AG RotoLab TCP Calibrator on my robot. This is a KR50R2500 running on a KRC5 Controller using KSS v8.7. (V8.7 is a "functional twin" of v8.6 - v8.6 is for KRC4 controllers and v8.7 is for KRC5) One of their programs that is provided using the functions "SQRT()" and "INV_POS()". Both of these state, "The declaration of the function 'SQRT' was not found." I have looked in the manual, KSS_86_SI_en.pdf, and inside the manual, both functions are mentioned. However, even after copying the manual's examples, I come up with the same error on WV. My current version of WV is 6.0.27. Am I missing something? Did KUKA dump these functions moving from KRC4 to KRC5? How do I get these functions to be recognized by the robot? Is this an additional package option? Such as "Advanced Math Functions Packages" or something? -
Panic Mode,
Maybe you can help me out with this as well. I have UserTech (V4.0.19) on the KR C5 controller, but I was not able to update from (V4.0.18) like normal using the Option Package Management. I had to delete the 18 from the controller and then add the new one into it.
This allowed me to use the "Test" package for UserTech, but where I am struggling is how to add new .kfg files to the robot.
From what I have read, there should be a UserTech folder under TP, much like the GripperSpotTech folder. My robot does not have this option - so I tried adding it myself and I come up with no such luck.I can send you the (V4.0.19) and see if you have any luck with that?
Where do you place your .kfg files so you can select them from the smartpad?
