Hi there, thanks for answering. I appreciate your input; the only think is that i still do not have access to the KUKA robot since it will be delivered to us in few weeks and ive been asked to make a prediction of it's power consumption that's why I turned to this forum and still trying to find help. On Friday I've actually contracted somebody from the KUKA staff and ask about it and the lady wasn't able to answer me so she said somebody else(from KUKA obviously) would call me back and give me the precise info....but still no body showed up yet...ππwhat a frustrating sistuation

Hi there thanks for reaching out!! It is a KUKA kr60 cr2 ed05 which( my understanding from its official datasheet) has a max load capacity of 60kg; I just came across an other link which explains that these robots can operate in different modes: among these modes there is a "hybernate mode" which will put the robot at its lowest operation state reducing the power to 18KW(thus 18kwh*8h= 414KWh); and when it is at full capacity(in terms of max continuous workload) it can reach a max of 60Kw, therefore 60kwh(60kwh*8h=480kwh).
Still, these are outstanding results in terms of findings for me since it is the only info i came across so far; however I still have no clue on how it has been reached this conclusion with these exact numbers, i mean how did they get these numbers( 18kw and 60kw ) exactly? Which sort of calculations they made?

Hello everybody, i am a complete newbie on the forum and in the world of robotics and KUKA robotics too. My boss had just ordered a used KUKA kr60 kcr2 for a production line and ask me to figure out how much energy does it consume daily (8hours per day of continuous workload).
I SIMPLY HAVE NO CLUE π¬πΆππ AND I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE TO START!! Obviously he pretends precise data and numbers in support of whatever are going to be my calculations; i literally spent days and days on the web and NEVER came across anything near to what I'm looking for, it just seems that nobody has ever done an energy consumption evaluation (in KW) ever on a KUKA robot and i just simply could not find anything! I turn to this forum since it's my last and only hope and chance! Please guide me or point me in the right direction on how to figure out the power/energy consumption of a KUKA kr60 cr2 robot! Thanks a lot a lot whatever may be your help
