Yeah... I've tried reading the help section in the past and found it entirely unhelpful. So it was a logical presumption this time, which was apparently untrue.

Ah ha! I'm not sure if it was the TCP trace (which I've never needed) or the "optimize CAD models" function, but one of those fixed the behavior.
Now the simulation works exactly the way it should, which is greatly appreciated. I knew someone here could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

It can output the simulation as an AVI, and it is much truer to real speed on playback. I'm used to the simulations running at about 50% of actual, that's about what I'd expect. What I'm seeing is about 10-20x slower than real life.
It actually doesn't even run smooth, it just kind of jumps between positions about every 10 seconds or so.

Interestingly, the problems persist even with older cells that used to work perfectly fine.

I thought for sure that I added those plug-ins, but I wouldn't be able to swear to it in court. But perhaps I need to try a re-install and look for those specifically.
I looked in the options menu, and the only graphics settings I can find are the AVI settings. I have that at 320x240 and 30 frames per second. But this is running on a new(ish) Dell Precision machine, so it shouldn't have any trouble with it. And in fact, it never has in the past really.
The motions are programmed between 2000mm/s and 500mm/s. The bulk of the moves are at the higher speed though.
What profile data I do get is giving me entirely believable results in terms of time, so the software is performing correctly. It just doesn't want to display it accurately. I think I'm going to pop open an older cell and see if it runs properly.

Hello all,
I'm hoping you can help me out here. I'm running a pretty basic simulation in Roboguide, and for the life of me I can't figure out the two issues that I'm battling right now. I have the universal subscription which has always worked in the past. I recently was "upgraded" to Windows 11, and now I'm having nothing but trouble. Hopefully someone else has seen this and knows the answer.
The first one is on the profiler. I can gather some profiler data, but the other check boxes just aren't there, They aren't greyed out, they're just missing.
And the second issue I'm battling is that when I run a simulation, it moves very slowly. Think glacially slow. A 12 second cycle is taking something like 5-7 minutes to run. And the tool/part leaves behind a streak of freeze frames. It's a lot like when you won windows solitaire back in the 90's (for those old enough to remember), and the cards would make that waterfall thing.
I'm going to try and attach pictures to this, so hopefully that works. But I'm pretty new to the forum thing, so bear with me if it doesn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
