After a lot of research and discussion with engineers, I think we are gonna try to move the pallet a small amount toward the robot and see if this helps. I think it will!

No arm is not closing on itself. The arm is stretched out nearly straight. I think I am just at the extent of the robot reach. I just don't get why I'm getting axis limit on J2 when upper limit is set at 76 and J2 position is at 73-74 when this occurs.
Yes, I tried that and it gives me a popup window that says I'm already at upper limit. I found(I think) in system variables where I can raise the upper limit. I'm just not sure of any repercussions from raising the limits. I don't see where it could cause any issues as long as I hit the Axis limit before I hit the hard stop on axis.
Hello,
I am looking for a little advice. I have a fanuc 2000ib robot picking parts from a pallet. We use IR vision to get coordinates for pick. I am having issues sometimes picking last part on pallet. If this part is just a little off of location, I get a J2 limit error when attempting to pick part. J2 upper limit is set at 76 and position of J2 is usually
73-74 when this occurs. Is this normal to get alarm just before I reach limits? I thought about increasing limit by 1 mm or so and see if it makes difference but it won't allow me to go above 76. Is there a variable I can change to increase upper limit of axis? Would it be safe to increase this limit by a very small amount?
Thank you
