Hello all, I have an Agilus KR10 R1100 sixx with a SMC pneumatic gripper.
A few months ago, when I first fitted the gripper, it worked without problem although I did not use the gripper after confirming its functionality. Since then I removed the gripper and used a milling spindle once.
Today I reattached the gripper but the air pressure kept dropping quickly. I checked point by point from the air pump to the AIR 1 input at the base of the robot arm, as well as the inline wrist valves to the gripper without success. Solenoid valves on the wrist activate/deactivate with DO signals, making clicking sounds.
Upon close inspection, I hear the shhhh sound originating from within the inline wrist, no matter the combination of the solenoid output. I opened a side panel on the wrist and made clear that the sound IS coming from inside the wrist, close to where the solenoids are. I mechanically closed all the ports including the R(release) on the wrist.
How can I fix this? I have not been using the valve for a while so am I missing something obvious? I once opened the back panel of the robot arm for some inspections, could something have gotten loose from doing that?
Thank you for the response in advance.
