I have the exact same problem for a school assignment. I have to make a payload sensor measure the weight of objects picked up by a IRB 2600 robot arm. Your comment is marked as resolved, does this mean you found a way to get past this problem? If so what method have you used? I have thought about torque for the motors but i dont know how to read the torque while using the robot. How have you solved that?
