Hi there,
I’m hoping I’m on the right track with my components for a custom build rotary turntable. It’ll be for synchronous moves only.Just a quick query about the gear drive.
The gear drive I think is spec’d for a kR150/210 (possibly A3). Due to the length of the pinion shaft when I build the unit up the platter turntable will be about 610mm from the ground. I’d really like this to be lower to maximise the relatively short arm of the KR125. I could of course put the robot on a pedestal but we don’t have a forklift here and I just wonder if it possible to switch out or reduce the height of the pinion shaft instead?
I’ve not attempted to take the gear drive apart to find out just wondering if anyone here has more information about these gear drive units. Haven’t seen a diagram on xpert for this particular gear drive.
