In a KRC4, given I have an EK1100 connected to the robot EtherCAT bus, can I have directly the IO's (EL1008, EL2008...) there without the need of a PLC?

Sure you can. But you need to add it to your X44 Bus in WoV, and don't forget to make mapping for signals.

Then in order to disable the outputs while an emergency situation... I could use a EL9210 powered by the emergency circuit voltage and that would make it... without needing a PLC...
In case of need, can I plug a TwinSAFE PLC there too?
