Does anyone know if I can have a 5 cm weave amplitude with a 15m wavelength, or will this upset the math?
Thanks in advance. I appreciate all of you in Robot-Forum

Can You be more specific on question? What wave You have in mind? In subject You mention "very wide", but in topic "5cm amplitude". So it's wave width of 5cm or amplitude of 5cm?
Sorry, I want a 25 mm wide weave of a 1mm bead with a 1mm wavelength.
You'll have to control the bead with your process parameters, you don't mention what you're trying to do but I'm guessing TIG ?
A 25mm weave with 1mm length is that just one "leg" or is it a full weave ?
If it's robot only it should be OK but if you have a lot of external axis it might cause some issues,
not so much due to the weave width, more so with segmenting of the path due to the very low weld speed.
Granted, that was more on S4's and IRC5 is much less prone to those issues, just thought I'd throw in a slight caveat since you don't mention which platform you're on.
