hi everyone.
What is the difference between "fine clibration" and "rev.counter update".
Do you have a detailed description?

Abb robots have resolvers in their motors. This means the feedback system is capable to return the motor axis orientation in one turn. The robot counts the number of turns to know where every axis is. Therefore rev counter update is used to make the robot reset the counter.
So it will ensure the same positions are kept between updates and should be used I.e. in case of a battery failure or similar.
A fine calibration is used to readjust the motor against the mechanical arm. And should only be used in case of a motor replacement or a robot recalibration.
Hope this helps.
PD: in the manuals you should see deeper information.
