Hi,
I am new to robots in general and even newer to the world of Motoman robots (so many threads start like this ... though I do have experience with PLCs and automation in general) ...
I need to design a solution with a Motoman DX100 robot that uses a rather complex gripper (it needs like 14 DOs, 7 DIs and also needs an analog input for a distance measurement).
The robot has a Profibus/DP slave card in order to communicate with a PLC; as far as I read, I see that the DX100 has an Ethernet interface by default.
Can this Ethernet interface be used to connect an Ethernet/IP slave in order to add the required I/Os? (like the Festo CPX-FB36 since the DOs are all pneumatic)
Any help will be very appreciated!
Thank you,
John
