Hi. My name is CJ. I am an EE student at a university in Texas and have access to a Staubli RX60 SCRsvg arm along with a CS7 Msvg RX60 control box. Another professor let us borrow it in our lab, but nobody knows how to use it. I started reading through the manuals and realized that we don't have the "teach pendant" or the programming console. I was told that the professor who used this previously had found another way (maybe ethernet) to control/program the robot arm.
This is what I am stuck on. I've looked through the RX60 arm manual and the CS7 control box manual but these are all based around having the teach pendant and programming console. I am not sure how to install and connect the robot arm to a computer to control/program it. My long-term goal is to be able to get it up and running and set it up with ROS (if possible).
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this (or a similar) robot arm and could lend some advice, maybe point me to the proper literature? I need to figure out how to hook up this arm without the teach pendant and programming console.
