I am working on a Fanuc S420F with an RJ controller. On boot, it complains of a SRVO-062 error, so we changed the 4 Dcell batteries in the robot, but the error won't clear. The error does refer to axis #6.When I goto to system then on select variables, I get a memory error D18-D23 and a memory dump. I can't proceed past this point because the system won't let me into the variables section. I have checked the encoder voltage inside the 3 housings on the back top, hoping that an encoder was not getting it's 6 volt supply, but these 3 are there. I am not sure if one of these 3 housings is axis #6, because I can't seem to find an exploded diagram of this unit to simply locate the axis 6, servo motor, and more specifically the associated encoder.
Can someone clear up, where the axis 6 encoder is located? The 4 D cells were only a volt each, so definitely needed changing.
