Heating issues

Hello All,

The factory I work in is not climate controlled so during these summer months when it starts getting hot out my robot controllers tend to over heat, we have measured the internal temp of the controller at over 115 F, and start acting strange, I.E. wont start back up after a pause, or will not stop at all, etc. I was thinking about putting in a cooling system similar to a portable AC, for example https://www.grainger.com/product/HOFFMAN-567-BtuH-Air-Air-Thermoelectric-32FP93

Has anyone else dealt with an issue like this? What was your solution?

You may want to contact Yaskawa on the issue to see what they recommend, condensation forming on boards may be an issue with how tight everything is in these cabinets. You'd want to figure out the BTU output of everything too. Might I suggest, if you do add an air conditioner, going with a compressor based model. Dollar for dollar they tend to be a much better value.

Hi , over the years we did it two ways , important you don’t lose the internal sealed air cooling cycle where the cabinet air is kept isolated from outside atmosphere dust and contamination.
* Use separate air conditioner and pump air through the existing rear air duct.
* bolt on the units (already mentioned) with extra holes on side of cabinet but make sure the internal air is kept isolated from external air.
Some of these units don’t turn on till 30deg.C.is reached , just be aware of that.
