Problems on i/o card SEF vrs1
« on: June 26, 2017, 07:32:36 PM »
We have 2 plc i/o cards in our installation. For one or the other reason the controller only detects the first card. In test fase we can see 32 inputs but only the first 16 give a 1 and 0 status on the teach pendant. Inputs 17 to 32 are all on status 0. Phisically the inputs are shown on the second card (24V on the inputs). We already switched cards, checked connectors, cables but no result. Has eneyone got an idea what the problem could be?

So maybe you can tell us, basic information that this kind of question requires:

- is it a VW standard robot ?
- what robot is it ?
- etc.

Hello Newbie, thanks for your interest.

It is not a Original VW robot.(SEF robot)

Here are the specs of our installation:

Robot SEF SR25A2 with 9 axes
Controls SR025-1-1/9 SR1
Both 1997 buildt.

CPU 30ZBE / Sys68K
1* 3.5" disk drive
1* RSC (memorycard)
1*SLK (system logic card)
1*SRK (system relay card)

2* PLC i/o card (VW 5E1462, SEF 220-02B0)

Running on VRS1 software REV 1.3

I hope this gives you a better view on the system.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to help you.

As I understand you have a SEF robot. I didn't work with it before, I only know that there were made to work in VW (old times).

I worked on FANUC and KUKA with VW standard.

I would suggest asking this question in other part of this forum, if that's not VW standard related question:
