Thanks! Surely, I will keep an eye on the board model and its compatibility. As for the repair option: I am exploring it as well, I was just working on some project in parallel, and I haven't looked quite well at it. Do you happened to know any company of that specialty? I am quite new to the subject (robotics and ABB units in particular), and I still have a lot to learn. I need to say: reading messages on this forum helped me a lot!

Regarding the error I am getting: it does not look like an error; as I am trying to do the initial software installation after a cold start, it is gets interrupted at a certain point; it goes like this: (1) key disk; (2) disk 1; (3) disk 4; (4) disk 5, and then it restarts and gets back to that “insert key disk” prompt. It looks like it restarts for no reason in the middle of the installation. I have tried it several times, and the result was same every time. I ruled out the corrupted disk(s) option, since I've received a new set from ABB recently.

Initially this controller also had a bad memory board (it could not get past a memory test in the cold start sequence, code 2002), but I replaced it. After that I discovered this problem with installation. After some digging I found out that the flash memory can get corrupted by a wrong software version. I don't know the history of this unit but we have another robot with BW 3.2, so it is quite possible that someone in the past tried installing a wrong version of the software.

Could you send me all disk?. I´ve been looking for them and i can´t find them.
