    Hi,

can you please elaborate on the last comment "With you having both error codes, it could be that the wire to Torch Interference is short circuiting to ground, pulling 24V supply low....Please Check." I'm also getting both of these errors at the same time.

    Thanks

Perfect thanks for the response, this confirms my suspicion that it was an output and input issue. I will look into this and pass this on to my supplier as this is an integrated cell that they designed.

    Hello,

I was wondering if you could help me with the same issue but slightly different. I had the touch sensing setting for my robot turned on by a supplier through a backup they modified and I can now program points with wire check. When I run a wire check program in repeat mode I get the E6516 wire check failure as the wire extends during the 5 sec period touch's the material and then keeps trying to inch like nothing was in its way. I'm wondering if the inputs and outputs of the system are not fully connected or setup. I can see that the wire from the welder is connected to the controller so it at least has that connected. Thanks in advance.

I was having the issue where the wire length was not long enough to start an arc and no matter how many times the arc retry function would retry it wouldn't find an arc. I think I was just to new to the arc retry settings and after a couple of days playing with those settings I was able to reliably get a arc to start at varying wire lengths.

Thanks for the heads up on the touch sensing I will now start looking into this more. I know we are planning on moving to touch sensing so this was very helpful.

    Thanks!

So I found under AUX : ARC WELD : ARC WELD SETTINGS : WELD START SEQUENCE that the internal settings for when the robot doesn't find a weld is to retract the wire and its built in. I would think that this should be inching when it can't find an arc. Is the only way for a E controller to inch the wire during a program to have the 9.0 of the arc welding manual touch sensing?

    Thanks, Robert

    Hello

Right now my Kawasaki robot with an E controller is trying wire retract instead of wire inch when its cant find an arc right away. When I watch the ARC monitor it will show "Arc On" then try constantly to "Wire Retract" to find the plat. When the robot is trying to weld the I need the system to "wire inch" every time it can not start an arc.

    Thanks

Okay the time stamp prompt wont concern me then. We only have the one robot and controller so mismatching is not an issue right now.

I had to redo all the zeroing data along with the encoders so I'm already past that point of having mismatched zeroing points regarding all my old backups. I assume this means most of old back ups shouldn't really be loaded going forward since we will be changing teaching points and the zeroing data is new.

    Thanks,

I changed the battery and it work. The date and time don't reset. After making another save after the battery was changed the line of code I referenced in my first post was still the same. Does it really matter that the date in that line of code has changed?

Well I had the encoder battery die on us and the operator never told us the error was happening until it was completely dead so I've been making .as saves and re-zeroing everything. I had to load backups with certain programs but because this little battery was dead it kept thinking it was a different robot because the date was wrong.

I'm still new to this so when should you load back different parts of your "all data.as" file. Really should I only ever be loading up weld data and program data?

    Hello,

First time post. I'm very new to dealing with Robots and am now in charge of trouble shooting for our Kawasaki Robot.

I have run into the problem that the date and time of the robot stored in the controller keeps resetting its self upon shut down. This ends up effecting the "zrobot.type" line of text in the .as file and causing issues when loading any backup in the controller.

    Was:

    ZROBOT.TYPE 43 8 6 1173 -18451 BA006L-A001 ( 2018-10-23 17:28 )

*this line of text hasn't changed for a year until just a month ago

    Now:

    ZROBOT.TYPE 43 8 6 1173 -18451 BA006L-A001 ( 2009-01-01 00:20 )

I have gone into the AUX functions to change the date and time but I keeps reverting back. I have loaded old backups with proper date and it still wont keep the date and time.

    Thanks, Rob
