Today finally arrived the new battery. I hoped that there is a battery problem, in spite that the Battery light is not turned on. But not.

Nothing changed with the new battery.

So I tried to make an INIT-START. I held down the PREV and NEXT buttons and start the controller. But the same screen appears.

Can somebody help me how to start to investigate the problem?

I have no idea how to start looking, and I didn't find any description regarding this kind of issue.

The problem is with the main CPU, or the whole PSU circuit board? Or with the TP?

I tried to make a COLD START, but it didn't helped.

Maybe there are 2 errors at the same time.

I can't get the TP running, because of the CHECKSUM error. So I can't access any menu on the TP.

Maybe the lag of the software is another problem.

First I need to get the TP run.

Unfortunately I don't have a software backup. So first I try to check every other method.

The robot started to have communication lag between pushing a button on TP and the software to behave accordingly whule we were working on it. In AUTO mode the robot runs well, only when we need to make adjustments it had this lag. The temperature was not so high (~10 Celsius or little bit below). Than began with this Checksum error at booting. We had to restart it a few times and it worked. Now it doesn't want to work.

There is a BUS fault LED lit on the I/O panel. Can this has have an impact on the error?

I read in other posts that CMOS errors can be cleared, but I didn't found it the documentation. Could this error memory clearing help?

A few days ago the robot began to write this checksum error on boot. We had to restart a few times to be able to get the robot run.

And the robot has a huge lag from pushing a button on the TP and the move to happen, or resetting the errors.

Now it looks that it doesn't want to start at all.

Now we will change the batteries in the robot's base, but I read that there is a small battery in the main board too?

Does the lag of the TP has to do with the batteries?

I don't really remember the details, I know that finally I figured out the correct steps, which button to press first, on which terminal.

There wasn't a concrete solution, once it just worked.

I'm back to this project again, after I had some issue with a burned cable inside the robot.

Now everything working fine again and I want to focus to be able to run Karel programs.

I tried to search for Stack size, where MajsterSyru described but I couldn't find stack size.

I checked the robot's memory status. I attach pictures.

I don't really know what to look here, I suppose everything looks OK on memory status.

I mention again, that not only my Karel programs doesn't run, but neither the Karel programs on the TP, which came uploaded when I bought the robot, a few months ago.

When I run a Karel program which came with the robot for example, I hear a contactor coupling (or discoupling) inside the robot controller, and TP freezes, nothing happens. Only I hear reaction to deadman switch, coupling and discoupling when I hit deadman switch. I need to turn off and back on the robot.

I found a program history page and there,after restarting the robot, is written "not exec" on line 1.

Also I saw a MONITOR option in SELECT menu. Does anyone know what this option should do?

How can I check the stack size and increase it?

I suppose Dram and temp memory are on the main CPU board. I will check them.

I'm wondering if there is a logging system for running Karel programs. Or some way to start investigating the issue.

Unfortunatelly I don't have a backup, yet. I should do it sometimes.

I made some testing.

An empty Karel program doesn't freeze.

I can write anything (corectly) in the declaration part, it doesn't freeze.

A simple "WRITE" function runs without problem.

If I use any routine calling, or built in function (eg CURPOS), or simple variable value assignment, it freezes.

Any thoughts?

Only this is holding me back to finish the job, to be able to run Karel programs.

I think, I have an idea how to do this.

That looks great, however I'm not really sure if I can edit the values of P[1] on an Rj2 controller.

I didn't find any option to see or modify Positions recorded in a TP program.

In P1 and P2 you teach the origin point of the 2 systems?

How you teach in one Position a coordonate system?

Today I'm testing Karel programs on my real robot at the first time.

When TP program arrives to CALL, the TP freezes.

I thought that's something with the Karel program, but I loaded another Karel program, and when I call it from TP program freezed again.

No error message, no LED reaction, although I hear that the contactor connects and disconnects at Deadman switch activity.

I need to restart the robot, and the loaded Karel program dissapears.

The robot is an old Rj2.

yeah, I've been trying more things, and it remained that way.

The main problem is that I can't make to pass correctly the UFRAME.

I tested in RoboGuide, on v6.4 it is working nice.

But not on my Rj2 robot.

I need some help to create a program which makes the same process in 2 different UFRAMES.

If the operator hits the Cycle Start button, the robot should make the process on the right side work plate, if it terminates, and the operator hits again the Cycle Start, the robot should make the same process on the left side work plate.

Here's my logic (i recorded the position P[1] in UFRAME[5])
