    Hi again Skooter,

Find attached below a few pictures of the followed process after the warm-start and with the previous I-Start already done.

After the test done in steps 1 & 2, it seems to be asking for the key disk instead of disk 3. Do you think that after the warm-start it has become a Cold Start instead of an Init Start (on step 1 picture it says Cold Start) and if so, do I need to start from scratch (key disk rather than disk 3)?

By the way, my client has found the disks so, after Christmas I'll carry on with the installation. I'll keep you posted

Really appreciate your help, thanks a lot.

    Have a nice Christmas time!

Since it was an Init Start, you don't need the key disk. Try contacting ABB tech support, they usually send you a link to download the entire BaseWare System Pack 3.2 without the Key Disk.

It asks for Disk 3 because that is where everything starts to load from after the core BaseWare. Since you don't have many options, it will ask for a few more after Disk 3 loads (4, 5, 6 & 8 is my guess).

After it finishes loading, you should be able to reboot, load the backup, and reset the rev. counters.

Let us know how it turns out.

Hi Skooter, thanks for your quick reply

That sounds nice, I'll contact ABB tomorrow morning and see if they provide me the link. After that, do I need to just copy the files to an empty floppy (disks 3 to 8?)

Also, I've got another question. When this happened and found out that my client didn't have the disks, I tried to "cancel" the installation by warm-starting the robot (after doing the I-Start). When I did this, the robot tested several things and it seemed that everything was fine, but after that it ended up requesting the disk again, but this time I remember that it wasn't asking for Disk 3, it was just saying something like "Please, insert the disk".

Now, my question is if after doing the warm-start I'll need the Keydisk (maybe something is corrupt now?) or only the Baseware OS, as it was asking before. I'll take a picture of the message tomorrow and check it by the way.

Thanks again, appreciate your help. And sure, I'll let you all know how this ends.

    Hi everybody,

I was looking for help to find the Baseware Disks and Keydisk for a project I'm currently working on.

I'm working with a second-hand ABB IRB 2400 and S4 Controller that has to be recovered after being shutdown for a year. I had to make an I-Start because I was getting fatal system errors but found that the client didn't have the original Keydisk and Baseware disks for rebooting the system (I haven't worked with this old controllers before, so I didn't know that I was going to need any disk for this task ).

I have retrieved this data from the robot:

    >>SYSTEM_ID:

    24-14118

    >>PRODUCTS_ID:

    3HAC2700-2/22 System Pack 3.2

    TP Language

    Irb 2400

    >>ROBOT_TYPE:

    2400/10 M98 Floor

It asks me to insert disk 3 to reboot.

Please, is it possible that anyone has or know someone that may provide me the files to reboot the system again?

If you need further information, please ask me.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jave.
