In our application, we have a R200iB unloading a machine and then placing the casting onto a trim press for an operator. On the operator side of the press, there is a set of light curtains that if broken the robot will not enter unless clear. Currently the robot will stop if the curtain is broke before it gets to the press , but if the curtain is broken after the robot has starting entering, it still continues moving. I have tried configuring to use remote UOP but that caused some issues with other parts of our process. i.e robot would not enter our casting machine to remove the part until it received the signal from the machines PLC to start.
I want the robot to stop and then restart on its own if the curtain is broken, can someone give some advice?
