You can always use full speed test mode but be very careful with it.

Is there a book on system jobs?
-
The issue is the cell will not boot up at all. I have no access to the cell because it faults out before it loads. I can't reboot the controller because it never loads.
-
Is there anyway to recover a cell in motosim when you get a controller error? It will not let me open the cell and since it took over a week to get done I was hoping for a miracle.

IDK Motoman is pretty good about adding functions that don't work. Sometimes it seems like they started something got halfway done and said fuck it were done here lol. Lets see you have the multi-window on the NX that never happend. You have the jet table that if you tell it to call a job only if something is true it faults out for a zero being in the variable. The user inputs that if you use the whole group it flips the last number to be a negative which is stupid. then this chk function that even motoman can't explain what it does. Oh well.

Its a standard function on the YRC1000. Its an option that pops up with position variables.
-
Its a YRC1000. Don't really need it for anything but just curious what its for. All I know right now is that if I select it the robot skips that move.
-
Just curious what the CHK option does when I select it in a Mov instruction. All I know is when it is selected it seems to skip that line in the program.

Have a quick question does anyone know why or how to prevent the motosim software from f***ing up a cell after you close and reopen a cell? I try and set up a complete cell to be able to show customers but when we try and open a cell after a few time everything gets moved.

I just got the software updates from yaskawa. I s there anything special I need to do in order to install these updates? I put it on a USB but the pendant keeps telling me software not found.
-
Working on a project that originally came with the smart pendant which I might add might be the worst pendant they have ever released. We borrowed a standard pendant so we could program easier and faster. The company ordered a new standard pendant so they could have one to use. Plugged in the new pendant and all the buttons lit up and froze at the boot screen. Motoman says it probably didn't get some software installed for it. Is this something I can install it is it a "feature" Motoman needs to install?

Think I figured it out. I had originally set up the soft limits to prevent the robot from crashing into objects. I had the soft limits tighter then the FSU settings so it wouldn't let me adjust the axis limits outside of those settings.
-
Trying to set up the axis limits in the FSU and it won't let me change the limits to anything but wide open.
-
Does the YRC1000 have the ability to monitor axis location? Would like to be able to see it in a variable or register.
-
Every generation it gets better. Except for NX100 in my opinion XRC was better then NX100. Pendant was too big.

I'm using the YRC1000 controller and setting up the JET Table. If I set it up to say Call JET#(1) ENTRY=I000 IF IGU#(1)>0 It faults out for over variable limit. I thought that it shouldn't even try and call it because the condition isn't true. Any help will be appreciated.

It's the YRC1000 controller. This is a new feature that allows you to set up your own custom I/O groups. So I can start with saying I want the group to start at input 1 and make it up to 32 bits long. Problem with it right now is I can't use the full group only up to the last bit. Like I said before if I look at all 8 in a group instead of getting 255 I get -1. I understand it's a sign bit for positive or negative but it's stupid to have it the way it is because I can't use it if I turn on that last bit. I've asked Motoman about it but I haven't got an answer yet. As of right now I've mapped them to a group of inputs that I'll never use do I can make the 9 bits long allowing me to use the full group of 8.
-
I'll probably just get my input numbers from the register by grouping them in the ladder. I just can't get it to read right when all the bits are turned on. If I turn them all on in one group I should get 255 but instead I get -1.

Does Motoman have an option like constant path on a Fanuc
-
Yeah it should be but it's a sepro robot package so they have a bunch of extra cables for the sepro pendant
