    Hello Guys.
    I have an approval to buy Motosim from my employer but I have not seen it "software" running simulations.
    The reason of the buy is to generate offline welding programming for new customers and to relate cycle times for work process estimations.
    Is there a way I can obtain a trial license with Motoman.
    Do motosim really works as shown in the motorman flyers...
    Any advise and info regarding motosim will be appreciate it (From Current Users)

    I have both robots in my company (Universal and Sawyer)
    Universal Pros: Can lift more payload than Sawyer.
    Universal Cons: is not fast to get it program. And Can only do one Job at the time.


    Sawyer Pros: Two Arms running two jobs simultaneously. Friendly to Program and Faster.
    Sawyer Cons: Cost 1/3 over the cost of Universal and Fragile if you crash it.


    I hope this gives you an idea to compare both.

    Is good to be back to the Robot Forum!...for some reason at my new job whenever I tried to connect it was not letting me connect to the Forum...Any How.
    I am completely new with ABB, My company will get transfer two ABB Robots [IBR 6400 and 6600] if I am not mistaken and the crew has never worked with an ABB including myself.
    Well I am located 50 minutes up north from Charlotte NC and I am looking for a local or southeast ABB(Small Private Company) that provides support, trouble shoots and offer training for ABB in NC.
    If you guys have some connection please let me know, I can open PO's through my company but I need to review the recommended company 1st prior to run business.

    Hello guys. My old generation MRC came up with an Alarm110, IAMP PARAM MODIFICATION. I am not sure what could have gone wrong. Recently I had this problem and I pull the MSVO1B Card and re inserted in and while the power was off and then turn the power back on in the controller and Alarm 110 went away, and I was able to get back the robot to run. Now I have done the same with this alarm now but, this time no luck, no fix back.
    Can anyone tell me why this Alarm have come on. Are there other ways to fix the problems than swapping the MSV01B Card, until I get one order. Any suggestion is well consider, thanks.

    Hello guys, I am new with a DX controller, and I have a program created in Group 1 RB1,ST2 (A-Side) but I am trying to copy this program to Group 1 RB1,ST3 (B-Side) using the teach pendant.


    I do know how to copy from a A side to B side, saving the file JBI, and then opening on wordpad and switch the station number S2 to S3 or vice versa and then uploading the job back in the controller, but I would like to know how to do it with the pendant, without uploading the job to USB and the note pad required.


    How to edit the R1,S2 to R1,S3 using the pendant basically, thanks.

    Good morning Forum friends. I have a short question, is possible to transfer job data to from an oldie good MRC to a new DX100 controller? (Load From MRC TO DX). I have not done it yet, I am just trying to save some time by consulting 1st than trying to do it. Any steps, problems, impossible, thanks for the input.

    The problem with our touch sensing was, the search distance was under 1mm. 1st of we extend the search to 10.0mm and it worked.
    On the other hand, we had a loosen wire from the touch sensing. The wire was at pin 6B at the MCP01 board. Not sure how the wire got unscrewed but those were the main factors for touch sensing not coming on. By the way I am still trying to learn to program with touch sensing. The manual I have is from motorman, kind of hard to follow. If you have any instructions for beginners please private email with something, thanks.

    Ok guys, more fun. Recently we moved our MRC to a new location, the robot system is 100% fine, but I tried to run some of our programs that uses touch sensing and the RIN#01 did not came on. Even the LED status lights for Search and Touch Sensing did NOT came on. What is going on? For the Search Program points, I believe it must be re-teach since the fixture, were unbolt and bolt back and not in the same place, HOW do you re-teach a search point. Is it simple as xyz, modify.
    Or do we have to call motorman to re-set the search points and the touch programs.
    I need all the feedback regarding touch sensing, (How to, Why, create, pros, cons, and the same for ComarcIII)

    Hello guys, I need some quick refresh of memory, when group mask is set up in a program, how can I tell what is for A external axis and what is for external B axis, ex:


    1st [1,*,*,*,*,*,*,*] is this for robot only
    2nd [1,1,*,*,*,*,*,*] is this for robot plus external axis for A-side
    3rd [*,*,1,*,*,*,*,*] is this for robot plus external axis for B-side


    I will appreciate the get me out of the confusion.

    Thanks Robodoc, I do have the CMOsFile in my laptop hardrive (FDE For Windows 98). My problem is I can not get the system out of Alarm State. I have gotten in the maintenance mode and initialize the ABSO data, by turning the dial to 7 in the MCP01 Board, then I shut off the power a set the dial back to zero, for operation mode and still the Alarm is there, if there is nothing else I can do let me know if I have to contact MOTOMAN, thanks.

    Hello guys, I have an Alarm 132 Encoder Back Up Error. Well the encoder batteries were still good until next March 14 2014. Seems like the batteries did not last enough to hold the encoder data while the robot was turn off.
    Well I went in to maintenance mode and I initialize the servo data and all home and calibration data to clear the alarm, then nothing. The Alarm 132 still there and the pendant is highlighting SLURBT axis with the problem.
    Can anyone tell me how can I get the robot out this alarm and reconfigured the encoder data.
    For your information :help:(I do have all the data to back up the robot)

    Its been a long time since I configure an external device to my I-O rack and designated to turn on and off in a robot controller.
    Well, I am looking to add another gas solenoid valve in my robot just to purge pure argon gas without changing hardware as far gas lines and hoses.
    I do have plenty of space my I-O rack and as well in the controller to set a I-O. Well the MRC is showing me the option to set an I-O by using AOUT (Analog Out) 14+/-.
    Well I need help creating an instruction to set up an address for my DOUT (Direct Output) to turn the gas on and off 24Volts when my arc starts commands in the program, and does anybody knows how to create it in the MRC controller.\

    Thanks Robodoc, sorry for my delay, I had to changed two glass fuses of 250V. The reason I can think of they blew out was, our operator unplugged the wire feeder cable and short out one of the amphenol pins, since you map the fuse location I found them blown, thanks for your help. :top:
