another day another problem, this robot lost all sync, programs ,i/o's etc over the weekend most probably during a power outage.when trying to sync it i turned key to manual but it doesnt seem to acknowledge this and wont jog saying 2 channel fault.turn back to auto and no change of operating mode message on screen.swapped pendant and still the same.all leds are lit on panel board even when key is on manual.swapped panel board and still the same.has anyone seen this before? Could it be faulty contacts on key switch?

hi skooter
the irb disk that came with my software is 3hac 2342, there is no 2340 supplied, also
i have tried service and standard but neither way it prompts me for the motor type
i am wondering if i need an earlier version of software.

good morning
Does anyone have a copy of 3hab 2340-1 for an m94a irb 6400.i have 3hab 2333 but this doesnt prompt for the motor type,in this case elmo
Regards Dave

Thanks Skooter i suspected wrong software as the robot was reported as working fine prior to the system being wiped 👍

Hi Skooter,my software version is 3hab2333-1/07
And axis 4 is elmo,i have used this software successfully with Siemens motors but unfortunately it doesnt prompt me to enter motor type or offer an option to query
Thanks Dave

thanks lemster,i tried all variants and the result is the same.i was wondering if there is a different version of the baseware around as mine doesnt allow me to query! It just goes ahead and does its own thing

good morning
I was recently called to a robot m94a/irb6400 that has lost the system and programs.on reinstalling the baseware the robot happily boots up and i can move it to the synchronisation marks and synchronise the robot.the problem is that when i jog in linear mode axis 4 and 5 do not follow the path,in y, y plane axis4 starts to rotate and z,z plane axis 5 starts to move off its intended path.this is immediately after installation of baseware so no programs loaded,no tcp defined. I read once that someone had to choose the motor type when installing m94a but my software doesnt give that option, this robot has elmo motors rather than more common seimens could this be the problem?

just re read your post and i think it would be
Measured 3.0v if it was the button battery so ignore my previous comment
-
the 3.3v error is a dead button cell battery on main computer motherboard
-
have you formatted the usb stick? Windows formatted stick wont work

good evening all
I have fitted a plasma cutter to one of my robots and it would be beneficial to run slower than the v5 option,in speed data there is the option to 'add' has anyone managed to define a custom speed ie 1mm/second and how was it achieved?
Many thanks in advance for any help
-
no,you must reload the system software choosing your preferred language
-
looks like an incoming phase is down
-
push and hold motors off button for 5 seconds
-
lemster is definately the authority on this but i have had many instances of the power supply being at fault even with a green led
-
in my experience the problem is with the main computer board and using another board is usually the best fix

possibility it could be one or both switches behind the deadman on pendant but as scooter said try switching pendants
