Have a "Tac" weld on a thin part, but if it burns through, the weld won't stop. Is there an instruction to stop welding? Already have an ARCOF, but i guess it is not getting feedback from welding.

Yes, I was able to jog the robot manually as you stated, but it would not go into AUTO when the robots were in the HOME position. After troubleshooting, it wasn't due to the robots, but the actual turntable and the tooling, GROUP 4, 5, & 6. This occurred only after I had to restore the IMG and TP programs on this particular welding cell (3 Robot) after it lost all its data after trying to get an IMG backup. It froze and I had to cycle power to the controller. It is up and running now.

Got it fixed, had to go into DCS settings, 3. Joint position check, DETAIL, and check each enabled position through DETAIL again and make sure the current position was in between the upper and lower limits. I changed the upper limit slightly above the current, then applied the DCS settings, cycle power, and alarm cleared.

I cannot reset this alarm on a MIG weld robot, any help would be appreciated.

It is a welding cell, and I stop the program in mid-cycle to teach a certain weld. So doing so, which is better for the robot and servos? I personally use the HOLD button.

Which method is better to stop a robot and why? Pressing the STEP button or HOLD button? Or does it matter?

I have an issue on a Fanuc controller where I can't background edit a certain job, it says that the program is already in BCK EDT, but it is not. What do I do to fix this issue?

So I was uploading a SYSPASS.SV file onto a robot, and when I cycled the power on the robot to accept the 50 usernames, I tried logging in as Install, and gave me an Invalid Password message, now I can't do anything with the robot, not even load a file from a USB. Is there a way to reset this or do I just have to restore the IMG backup?

I have created passwords for our maintenance techs on the robots, to better control changes to weld parameters, they all have Operator level. How can I add to allow them to toggle I/O's without allowing them access to weld parameters? Is there an XML configuration to allow this?

We have ARC Mate 100iC robots, We had a robot that crashed into a mis-loaded part, and could not move the robot, not even by pressing SHIFT/RESET, with the yellow box with confirmation, robot would still not move, needless to say a maintenance guy moved the axis by slipping the gears, which I know is very bad for the motor and robot.

My question is, Is there a way to release the brake on a certain axis to move the robot? Is there a variable for that? Any help would be appreciated, thank you in advance!

I have a welding cell with 3 robots and one TP, do I have to setup a user frame for each robot, or just make one for robot 1.

I am having a problem with a cell with 2 robots that the welds are moving like if there was a program shift that was done. I backed up the files and looked at the Logbook, but could not find anything substantial, you will see a few position adjustments, but keep in mind, this is a cell with about 50 welds on each side, and all of them are off. Can you please look below at the logbook and see if I missed something? Thank you in advance!

What does the $SSR $STPSEGTYPE do? That's the only difference I found from my other robots that perform correctly.

Do you happen to know exactly what variable that would be under?

Is there a variable setting or control that sets the "STEP" function? You see, whenever after I teach on this cell and turn the pendant back to OFF, the "STEP" function comes on/yellow, how do I make it where it stays off/green? Thanks in advance!
