A tube of gasket maker did the trick. After opening it there was clearly a break in the gasket, small but there. Cleaned up all the edges, squeezed some of the stuff on and yeah all good. If anyone else attempts this note the curing time on the package, we did ours on Friday at end of shift so it could cure over the weekend.

One of our robots, an arcmate 120iB, is leaking grease very slowly from where J5 gets greased. Not leaking around the bolt but actually leaking from the edge of the J5 cover plate. I don't want to take the cover off and have everything spill out but I was wondering if there might be a rubber seal around the cover that I can replace or would I need to replace the cover itself?

Turns out the mount angle was set to 180. Set it to 0 and the problem disappeared. How it functioned before is beyond me though. Mount Angle must have been in error when we mastered it but it moved just fine. Very strange. At least it works now.

And yes the error was pretty much instantaneous

Shortly after Christmas we got a robot set up, calibrated, mastered, the whole bit. Now you can't even move it in joint without it giving a collision error which is insane because its nowhere near anything and it was moving just fine like a week ago when it was mastered. It happens for every joint you try even if you disable collision guard. I was on vacation between then and now so I can't say for sure exactly what was done but the others in my department are no fools so I am inclined to believe that they tried everything reasonable. Not really sure where to start, more likely a controller issue or a robot issue? Any information or leads are appreciated.

I went through all the steps that the manual and the diagnostic screen have for this particular error. I dont have the exact srvo number in front of me but i could get it if it would help you. That being said, i already did everything for that error that every piece of documentation i have on hand tells me to do with no success.

I think ill probably have to call the electrician to investigate the connections then. Probably the only person who understands that box at this point.

That board doesnt look familiar, is it supposed to be the estop board or the door panel board?

At any rate the EES and EAS wires connect to a box full of wires that go out from there to our buttons, safety gate sensor, etc. And i know which wires are the ones connected from inside because they are numbered but i have no idea how to find out which one is the problem. Do i use a multimeter? If so where do i put the probes to measure and am i measuring voltage or continuity or something else?

So this one has been a journey. I have an RJ3iB controller giving a short term chain abnormal error (not chain 1 or chain 2 specific). Tried changing the door panel board, e stop unit, servo amp, cable between door panel board and estop, cable between estop and servo amp, TP cable and the teach pendant. None of it fixed anything. I jumpered EES and EAS (1,11,2 and 21) and then everything worked fine but when i actually plugged in the connecting piece thats all wired up to the fence and all then the error comes back. So the issue is with either EES or EAS but i really dont know anything about those connections.

One last thing it works in auto just fine even with it wired up, no jumpers needed but T1 or T2 the error comes back.

I dont even know how to test the wires from EES and EAS so I am at a loss. Do I need to call in the electrician who wired this up in the first place or can I deal with it myself?

well this particular controller is pushed up against the wall so getting transformer access will be a bit time consuming, forklift is rarely free around here. Ill definitely post the results when i get to it though

so how would i check the transformer? I think we have a few extras I could try but they have been sitting in storage for awhile so if i could know a way to check them before dropping them in that would be great
