I know I have done this before by creating a couple position registers that had a 50 100 and 150mm value in the z. And i was able to call this as an offset from current position type of deal. I just cant remember exactly how it was done. Could someone help me out quick

The simulation file is going to be missing some things that you need for the real world application, such as gripper open/close. You will need to modify it. Usually I just scrap the simulation parts and create a new program the way I want it to be. Auto generated code from roboguide is not always done well.Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
Thanks for the response. So your writting the program in ASCII or on the pendant? I find fanuc so slow for this type of stuff sadly. I do not mind the roboguide program for a roughed in program, however It doesnt same you can change toolframes in the simulation which makes it pretty much useless to me as I have an 8 point head.

How do you change a Usertool in the simulation program editor. I am changing it on the cell browser tab, it shows the green dot from a different Ut, go to that position but when I teach the position it still teaches it under UT1 and it is grayed out and I cant change it

Thanks guys, I found the file with your help. What about the first question about being able to use the converted simulation file on the actual robot?

Hey guys,
I am looking to backup my roboguide simulation program in a manor I can use it on the actual robot. Here is what I have done, I want to make sure this will work before I put a ton of time into it. I was unable to export a simulation program to a TP program so I rightclicked the program in the cell browser and changed the Sub Type from Simulation to (TP). It seemed to convert my file over and I can now export it as a TP file, but it does say "created in roboguide run SimPRO.cf to setup frame and" This concerns me a little bit as to if I will be able to used this in the actual robot controller. Could someone please advise me as to if this is the correct process. Is there a way to reverse this process? Or copy paste the program before this is done?
Secondly. I was trying to do a ASCII backup of the program so I can open it up in a text editor and doing some basic edits (comments), save a visual copy that you can view in a text editor. However when I do the ascii backup (or any backup for that matter) in roboguide I cannot find how to get it to save somewhere I can find it. When I go Backup --> UTIL --> Set Device I have a bunch of options but am not really sure what they translate to on my actual PC. Im sure there is something super basic I am missing here.
