VRC'S and an actual working XRC controller/robot is available at Yaskawa Mexico office too, 95 and Robodoc, I agree that an NX training will be ok for him or even a tech going to his facility and he can have a training and troubleshoot his robot.

Yaskawa uses simulation computers where an XRC pendant will be connected, no need of the arm or controller, Check with them

Laser "tracking" does not affects cycle time because is in real time (scanning and welding), now if you use laser seam "finding" you have to scan the part first and then weld that would affect your cycle time a little bit.

Comarc can track “T” and “V” groove butt joints in mild steel with up to 500 amperes of welding current, and it can seam track lap joints from 3.2 mm in thickness and higher. I Don't think comarc would work for that type of joint, Comarc is very sensitive set-up/ calibration needs to be ok, stick-out, Frequency, L/R, U/D settings. If possible take a look to servo-robot camera the laser seam tracking option, works great with Yaskawa, works with any type of joint and tracks in real time. Thanks

There is a PM menu in your pendant screen where you can set your PM intervals and reset this message. This message is only a reminder and does not significate that you need to replace your speed reducers.

so you mean, modifying the work home position under robot menu and update a position variable too? , not possible. The only way is with code and system variables.

Motosim for off-line programing, you can import CAD too or On site using NX100 pendant creating programs and trajectories with your part.

If you talking about the setup:

Prepare at least three sets of test pieces equivalent to the work piece thickness, same stick-out length( if welding to 200A or less - 15mm , More than 200A- 17 to 20mm)

and better if you do it in a tee joint.

According to the alarm code it says is the External 24v power supply error please check it.

The batteries on your robot need to be replaced, and you have a 24v short you need to find

here is how:

jumper it in the controller for now, Fronius will clear that alarm when it's ready to run.

This auto recovery/ error recovery function can be done by Yaskawa, it is not a standard option but the ladder needs modifications and with the use of interrupt jobs and macros, I have used this function and have done the setup in welding robots NX/DX100/DX200 where if the robot gets an alarm while welding, instead of alarming right away will call an interrupt job and do an exit sequence, then and only then will alarm, once the alarm is cleared the robot will return and finish welding where the error originally occurred, even you can setup the robot to overlap the weld by starting mm before the error occurred.

Are you talking about the Motoman controller JRC? I don't think so, I think MRC was the first one supported in Motosim. Do you have a JRC robot working? That would be awesome, I have seen RX robots still running until today, It doesn't surprise me.
