Check all the small green push in fuses inside. There are 1 or 2 (depending) on your yellow PLC board. I had this alarm once in response to one of those fuses being blown. There are others on the door but they have their own demons.
Good Luck.

Just replace the fan. They are quite cheap and easy to replace.

Not sure if this will help you but it is what I found on that alarm.
(Action 1) This alarm may occur if the axis is subjected to frequent
acceleration/deceleration or if the axis is vertical and generates a large amount of
regenerative energy. If this alarm has occurred, relax the service conditions.
o (Action 2) Check fuse FU1 in the servo amplifier. If it has blown, remove the
cause, and replace the fuse. One of the probable causes of a blown fuse is a
ground fault in the end effecter (RDI/RDO), ROT, or HBK signal.
o (Action 3) Detach the cable from CRR43A on the emergency stop board, and
check for continuity between pins 1 and 2 of the cable-end connector. If there is
no continuity between the pins, replace the regenerative resistance.
o (Action 4) Detach the cables from CRR45A, CRR45B, and CRR45C on the servo
amplifier, and check the resistance between pins 1 and 2 of each cable-end
connector. If the resistance is not 9 , replace the regenerative resistance.
o (Action 5) Replace the servo amplifier. -
I would suggest making sure your computer also has a 9 pin D port. I have tried with 9 pin to USB converters and wound up with a bunch of errors and it would not load back to the controller.

Check the screw clamps that press down on the cable shields where they enter the cabinet. I had this same problem a while back and was recommended to check these. They were all loose and tightening them took care of the problem and it has not returned.

Again with the awesome help. That did solve the problem. Thanks to all.

After establishing a home position register on An RJ2 (GM) controller I receive endless warnings of the subject line. I does not effect the operation but annoys me.
May manual does not even list this warning. Can anyone tell me how to fix this? Please and thank you. -
Did some one power down and change batteries? That would do it, yes?

Out of curiosity, did you check your Interconnections? Menu> I/O> 0/next> Interconnection.

In my case the previous point was reached without issue, however any attempt to move off of that point, regardless of the direction attempted resulted in the collision detect.

I had an issue today. RJ-2 Controller with an M420i robot. Trying to move from a position to the final point and kept getting spot 047 collision detect. Tried adjusting collision sensitivity etc. Finally solved by disabling collision detect, teaching position, then re-enabling collision detect. Manual and auto cycles both work.
Question that plaques me is what was I missing to change. These are old GM machines. -
Do RJ2 controllers have BGLogic and if so how do I view it and or modify it?
This is a case of good things happening with the robot that I have no idea why.
e.i. Start cycle inputs that start the cycle without being in the program etc.
More of a need to know than a problem. -
I had this DTERR issue a few months back and RacerMike suggested tightening my shield grounds where the cables enter the control cabinet. I did and the problem has not resurfaced to this date. Kudos to RacerMike.

If you are using a PLC for control you can always consolidate conditions in your plc and use one input instead of 3 or 4.

Just for grins I have downloaded Dosbox. Any help with how to make it work would be greatly appreciated. I searched but did not come up with any help.

I have an xp laptop and that is my next avenue. Just wanted to make sure I was not missing something. Thank you for you advice and time.

I have a 64 bit Ubuntu laptop with a 32 bit Windows 7 virtual box installed. I do not have a 9 pin connector on the laptop.
Can I properly run Kfloppy using the software on the virtual box using the 25 pin rs232 port on the front of the RJ2 controller to a 9 in connector then to 9 pin to a USB adapter?
I seems I'm able to upload from a controller but am having comm issues when trying to download to another controller. -
Can you zero position master it?

My translator in China laughs ever time I try to use it.

gokturk_1.
The way that you are translated it seems like you are asking me to summarize. Do you run this through a tranlater program and then copy and paste or does this site translate for you? I know that in China google translate doesn't work that well at all. Thank you for your replies. This site is a great place for information. It has been a tremendous help.
