I am working on a GM job and I have tool changers for the robot.
When I change guns I need to track the tcp.. to make sure its with the right gun. Where do I put this with a fanuc?

I just had the same issue yesterday, STUCK IN PREMAIN" .. it was I/O on the gripper. plc was waiting for a DI and was not getting it.. FYI..I put the DI in and everything was good.

Is there ANY way I could get some info on those? The plant is in the hurricane area and got closed and evacuated, I will be back soon and would like to know more, Persons on site do not speak same language as I do.. They are Italian.. I am the only American there and they are not super helpful?? Any directions to manuals would be VERY helpful.. "thanks again..

I ran in to these new 6700 robots with new soft ware package? I had never seen a commissioning mode? I am not there now but will be back. If I remember correctly they had tabs at the top of the page too..
any ideas? -

Does anyone know what the Hot Edit button is used for? I've never used it, but I have a vague recollection that it is a live edit tool.**Edit**
Never mind, I just took a look and it appears to be purely for editing rob-targets, nothing else.Yes I looked it it too.. my thoughts on it also.

First check if your robot is a IRC5 (Programming unit have touchscreen)
Then go to robotstudio.com, download RobotStudio.
Install on your computer, and connect a crossover cable between your computer and service port (Ethernet port on front of the cabinet).
Then you can connect to the robot and edit your program. You can also create a virtual robot and program from there.Yes I have robot studio.. I just wanted to use pendant

Is there anyway to background edit or look at programs with out hooking up my laptop?

If I was using a fanuc I would use background edit. I want to look at programs while robot is running with out disruption.

I am working in Orange edit, sorry new to this, I see the ascii view now answered a lot of questions, I don't work on the old KRC2 normally. mostly the KRC4 with "work visual" new world for me..

Why was the code written " SYN OUT 4" to do this? Does trigger command happen at the point following the statement? I am failing to understand, I see the trigger and understand all that. And if I copy this and paste here, It comes up....
