I run a usb drive all the time but when needing a cold start i have to put the floppy disk reader back in. its just two cables. my s4 m98 needs to feel the physicsl disk insert so usb transferred loading sequence disks have failed me. I am fortunate to have the original key disk and 7 loader disks still and they work however i have needed to replace the floppy drive due to not accepting all the loading disks. tried another floppy drive and all loading was back to normal and loaded system. floppy drive was bad not the disks.

activating scrape start in welding in s4c+. parameter shows ON in system parameters but does not show up in the seamdata.

Thanks for the help. changed the arm load manually. might have had the load weight to low. At the same time i did do alot of smoothening out of the movements in the problem area of routine. seems to be working ok as of now but have to get back into production to see if it will work happy in all routines.

I can get a weight off a spare feeder. i will definately give it a shot.

This robot does not have loadID. So what would calculate the arm loads? Being the wire feed is mounted on top and cables off the back. Calculating the right amount of weight for arm loads. And as soon as it is out of producton for five minutes i am gonna work over axis five manually and safely i hope. Thanks for now.

Good day to all roboters out here. I am having trouble with an ABB irb1400 welding robot with m2000 controller erroring out during welds giving a joint speed error on axis 5. It will happen on a certain type of weld where the robot is stretched out pretty far. I have tried moving the arm in different position and have changed the weave parameters to try eliminate some possible causes. Question I have is this robot does not have proper arm loads and no COG so with the wire feeder mounted on top and the wiring somewhat supported off the back end of robot arm, could this be causing a problem when at farther reach and weaving? For it to be suggesting axis 5 everytime what are the options?

This may sound silly but. I have two irc5 and one USB will only do full backup with a long USB stick. Short USB stick won't work. Same size memory. Other irc5 any USB works. Don't know why. Puzzled me for awhile.

Good day to all. I'm having trouble with a controller giving current supervision and switch/ON errors. Using a Lincoln welder and m2000 controller. All communication wires seem good. So not sure if welder trouble or if some wires inside cabinet are not right. It has been a progressive problem. Getting way worse right now. Anyone have an issue like this. Give me a hint. Thanks all.

The quick manual stop is input/output. Digital outputs. Hit your spray output low or 0 shutting output off.
There is other conditions that could auto stop contact with part. -
Hi. If you haven't found yet. In Canada I use
Factory surplus direct inc.
decent price and parts work. -
Using robot studio you can make the key disk and then the 7 step loading disks. I've seen them written onto a usb in a numbered block setup so you can ok each disk when called for and change the usb block manually on the usb drive to load the next called for disk. It's how I reload everything after doing a cold start on my S4.

What do you mean by monitor? While in process? What process?
Little more info and maybe can help. -
Not sure if you resolved your issue but I had a similar problem that teach pendant kept doing its start up count and not stopping. I tried warm starts over and over. Finally came down to my teach pendant was failing. Not sure why. I swapped with another teach pendant. Being plug and play and a warm start later it did its normal start up count and never had problem since.
I changed the joystick and tried that teach pendant again and it worked fine on multiple s4c+'s. Lucky or good I'm not sure but it worked that time. -
It sounds like you got the abb calibration routine good. For most of my ABB - Miller calibrations I have had to run the calibration routine at least 2 times. I will check my notes at work. Good luck. Will check back soon.

I recently had a miller welder give trouble with my abb robot. I was getting arc detect at various times that there shouldn't have been. Traced it to the weld equip from teach pendant errors. Then trouble shot the miller using led lights and suggestions. Ended up being a relay on a board in the welder. Changed board and back to production. Can check it out. Follow the miller manual schematic.

As usuall I did more things at once than I should have. So trouble shooting is not precise. I disconnected and connected cables outside cabinet and made sure all connections were good at the 509 board. I think the best attempt was cold starting and then restoring a backup from before the trouble started. That took care of it going into system failure state. Power supply to SMBUS is yet to be determined.

getting a hardware error 37057. SMBUS unit at address 38 is not responding. then says SMBUS unit lost. What or where is address 38? What are sure signs that your SMB needs replacing? any tips fellow ABB'ers would be greatful? thanks

Need a little more info. You are using FINE Zones or Z1? Are all positions moves and arcs out the same amount?
Could be your TCP? -
Been awhile but. If you have a backup you can try find the keystring. If you can find a key you can make new boot disks using robinstall. It's all about finding the key if the software was able to take the keystring with the backup. Hope this is helpful. Good luck.

If I have a little time I will check something similar happened to me. Little more info. Are you loading from floppy disk drive or usb drive?
