I think the easiest way will be to use a PCMCIA card or a PCMCIA adapter with a camera flash card.
Then you only have to figure out how to adapt the PCMCIA card to your PC or laptop.
To go directly from the RJ3-iB controller would require the K Floppy emulator (easily found online) and the right cables to go from the robot’s RS-232 to your laptop (less easy to find).
I would try the PCMCIA card. MENU- File, F5 [UTIL], set device to MC, then do the desired backup.
Can anyone else help with part numbers for the required cables for RS-232 Kfloppy method??
