  • KUKA KRC2 - X17 and X18 connector

Just to let you know, definitely the issue came from onboard network card. I replaced the mainboard and we've been working for the last 3 months without any problem in communication KCP/Rob1/Rob2.

    Thanks!

Anyway, thank you for the help.
As soon as I have solved this issue, I come back to you.

    Thanks. :respect:

Ok, thank you very much Panic Mode.

As this problem is intermitent, I'm trying part by part.
But, I believe that this issue comes from the onboard network card, on slave robot computer.

Talking about KIR cable, do you wonder any relation to this kind of problem (shared KCP with no connection to the slave robot)?

It's important to mention that, even we cannot connect to the slave robot to move manually in T1 mode when necessary, this robot still works in Automatic External mode normally.

    Hello folks,

I'm facing issues with my shared pendant KCP2-SP, where lately it loses frequently its connection to the slave robot (until now, normally, it works well, so I'm assuming that the Cellmap is correctly configured).
The robot documentation mentions those comunnication by ethernet cable, whose passes through X17 and X18, and everything has been checked and seems to be OK.
My question is: What's the function of X17 and X18? Are they only a splicing of each wire or a signal converter/amplifier ?

In advance, thanks for your replies.

Did this account for the integral heat exchanger airflow pattern of the KRC? In the cabinet, the interior and exterior airflows are isolated, using radiators to transfer heat. This keeps external air from circulating into the interior of the cabinet, as long as the doors are kept shut.

Yes, in fact the AC I have installed only recycle the cabinet internal air. It was one of the precautions we took in order to avoid external air to go inside the cabinet, avoiding to dirt the electronic parts. :merci:

Thank you for the answer kr16_2.
But, the AC makes the air circulation itself.
As this equipment has been installed on the top of the panel, it blows cool air to the bottom and, in the other hand, the hot air goes up to be recycled.

    Hello guys,

After facing a lot of erros with my KRC2 panel during the last summers (note that I'm brazilian, and here we face very hot temperatures on this season), I installed last weekend a conditioned air system to keep the inner part of my panel cool.
This is not a original Kuka device. It's another company that manufacture this kind of equipment and install them.
So, this new equipment is working quite well, but when we disconnected the panel fan (that is placed in the ceiling) we have an information message on KCP (code 315) and the robot does not work.
Can anyone please, tell me if there is any way to neutralize this fan ?
As now we have a conditioned air dedicated to this panel, the fan is not useful anymore...

In advance, thanks a lot for the attention.
