Hey all, if pin 50 (+24E) was shorted against pin 28 (COM-B5) of CRM2B, so basically a full on +/- short, would it fry the board or is there a fuse somewhere. After the short occurred the IMSTP alarm came on. I assume there is no power going to pin 1 of CRM2A anymore. Also between +24E and 0v is now only showing 5 or (.5 i cant recall) volts. HELP
Thanks in advance.

I assume you mean the "user menus" from the Menu Utility. I've noticed pressing the EDIT button again while the program is running will bring the "menu" back into view.
If you're just looking for the User Screen just press the MENU button and it should be line 9, USER. -
Has anyone used the opensource TP+ on Ruby from One Robotics Company. I cant seem to get it to work. If this is truly an opensource TP editor its something we ALL Need!

Has anyone ever used RobotMaster to Program the ArcMate line? I'm currently using RoboGuide/WeldPRO but my company wants to look into RobotMaster. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know when you turn the Teach Pendent "on" it simulates the key to "T2". I've never seen an option to set "T1". Question: (Just because I'm curious) Why would you need to simulate "T1"?

Hi all. Does anyone know if I can somehow print the "Program Elements" (the screen/topics you get when you press the "Diag/Help" button on the Teach Pendent)? If there is a way to do it through the physical unit or through the WeldPRO program that would be awesome. I would really like a paper copy.

I am having the same issue. I know you need to have Diagnostic Interface (Option R-711) installed but it will not even connect to the point of verifying if the option is or is not installed. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance. -
Basically you will be using your "trim" & "WFS" to adjust your voltage. The higher you trim the hotter the weld, at the same time Increasing your WFS will increase your voltage as well. The trim determines your "arc length". Hope this helps.

You can read and edit .ls files on the computer with word, notepad++, etc. however they can not be uploaded the the robot. You can't read the .tp files though without FANUC's RoboGuide off-line programming tool.

What's the most important thing to comprehend in regards to programming robots?SAFETY!

Fabian is right. It really does depend on how much You know. I took the classes and the hand books they give you do come in handy from time to time. If you can get the books you can really just teach yourself everything the class offers. Unfortunately I do not think the handbooks are available Unless you take the classes. If you do go be prepared to learn Only what John teaches. They are not big on off curriculum questions.
If your not currently up o speed with your cell(s) I would recommend the class though. -
We've been exploring Roboguide and it's various plugins. It's an offline programming software that syncs nicely with the fanuc robots. Unfortunately it's not cheap. but then again none of them are. Roboguide is in the $15k+ price range. There's a link to the free 30 day trial around here somewhere. I'll see if I can't find it. Otherwise you should be able to get it by contacting your rep.

I am thinking I can run the "Fence Broken" light off of the N.C. side of the interlock. Does anyone know, if I do this do I need to wire anything else inline with the interlock to protect the controller against damage? Also, is the "Fence Circuit" capable of supporting 2x 24V 10w lights?

Hi everybody,
Just like the title says I'm installing a light tower on a cell we've built around our RJ-3iB but I'm not quite sure where to get all the signals i'm looking for. I know I'll be getting my signal from the CRM2A plug just not sure which pins.
I'd like to have a light for; FAULT, READY, FENCE BROKEN, & RUNNING
I assume FAULT will be pin 39, READY will be pin 34, RUNNING would be 35? or 44?, and I have No Idea where Fence Broken would come from. Any help would be appreciated.
I have a Pic of the plug and labels but I'll post it as the next comment in case admit needs to delete it. -
Thank you very much. That steered me in exactly the right direction.

I'm setting up a System 55 with a 120iB 10L Arm ran by an R-30iA Controller. Does anyone have a list of what the different password levels give access to. I understand INSTALL is full access and Operator basically allows you to Jog the robot and run Programs but I am not seeing Any difference between Operator and Level 3 - Level 7. Also I haven't noticed any difference between Program or Setup. I suppose I could keep logging into the different levels and trying to find things I can't do but I figure it's much more efficient to ask people smarter than myself
