    I have been looking for a way to check the image find results, and am not finding anything. Can you give me a clue how I could do this? should it be one of the commands under vision on the TP?

    one more question, is it possible with the vision commands to know what the find percentage was? so I can compare a few pictures with different exposure overrides in the programming.

    I am wondering if there is any way to setup the camera to take multiple pictures at different exposure times, and pick the best match. is there a way to do this? I see "Exposure mode" and "Multi Exposures" in the vision setup window, but not sure how or if that would work. This is an R1000iA 100F robot with R30iA controller.

    My teach pendant is stuck in the "teach pendant ready" screen, and I have no backup to reload the software on our Fanuc RJ2 M710I robot. can anyone please share with me the software to load and get this robot running again? thank you.

    I recently got a used, not working robot, it is a RJ2 M710I.


    I have only experience with R30iB controllers so this is really strange to me, can anyone help me diagnose whats going on here?

    I Have a M-710i RJ2 robot, that I have not powered up yet. I don't have any manuals for this robot so I don't know what power it needs. It has a transformer A80L-0026-0016, and there are taps to connect:

    L1A L2A L3A

    L1B L2B L3B


    can anyone tell me what voltages I can apply to which taps?

    I am working with an R30iA controller and a siemens s7-300 plc,


    I need to pass a position to the PLC, this number needs to have at least 1 decimal place and would be nice if it could also be a negative number. communication is over profibus.


    I have been reading up on group io's but nothing is very clear if they can pass decimal points and negative values. does anyone have advice for me?

    working on an R30iA controller:


    So I have a strange problem, I can't seem to clear some IO assignments under digital IO and under UOP. specifically they are profibus rack 67 assignments. every time I restart the controller they are there again. It worked when I removed the profibus card, and deleted them. but as soon as I put the slave card back in, the bogus assignments pop up again in config.


    anyone seen this happen before?

    that is what I am trying to accomplish. But I can't seem to get the options to disappear. There are many other options on the robot I dont want to loose, I made image backups so I can try anything.

    I do have the original core software, the problem is we bought the robot used, and it has a bunch of options like irvision, and dcs. We did purchase some extra pac codes from fanuc, but I'm thinking if they reburn the software, they will not include those options. Am I wrong?

    I am working with a Fanuc R2000ib/150u robot, R30iA controller.


    So we recently got the pac code to enable line tracking. So I enter the code and hit install and it says something about auto singularity avoid can't be installed when trying to install line tracking, so I tried doing an init start on the robot to get rid of all the options currently installed, but the option was still installed after. Is there any way to get rid of that option? I read on the forum a user called marvan had a trick that may work(Uninstalling or disabling a option), but I can't find his post.

    Yes I'm not very worried about the vision setup, I am confident enough that I can get that to work. My concerns are the mastering is off.


    and also what happens if I teach a part in irvision, and then move the 7th axis 600 mm away and try to find the part again, what kind of error will be.


    I need to figure out how to get it mastered first thing first.

    rumblefish, Yes it is setup as 7th axis group 1. I can move axis 7 and the TCP stays very close to the same spot so it is setup correctly, I have however noticed that making longer linear moves on the 7th axis with the TCP in the same spot that it moves slightly(roughly 6 mm or so), this makes me suspect the mastering is off. I will like you said mark where I master axis 7 once I am happy with everything.


    When you say use AGFS, that mean automatic grid frame set right? I am not sure how that makes a difference since it doesn't seem to move axis 7 while taking pictures of the grid. Or maybe there's a way to have it move also?

    This particular robot was originally on a 60 foot track with a second robot. I only have a 20 foot section with 1 robot. So I'm thinking I can Master axis 7 wherever I want.


    The other reason I think the mastering is off, I calibrated a irvision camera and tested it, and the results were off when I moved the part. I have done 3 irvision setups in the past so I think I did everything correctly. Maybe there is another way to check mastering to be sure?
