is there any similar way to add ProfiBus Slave option and remove I/O cards from the system software?

had the same problem in a C43 controller. check the F2 contactor (to the left of the controller case) - it should be switched to On.

If the robot has been mastered accurately to the marking in the past and you'll master it accurately again, the inaccuracy should be unnoticeable

Ok, I've found a variable to switch on the external axis. Now when the variable is set so the controller "sees" the axis, the robots won't move because there is no SRDY signal from the amplifier, also the READY LED does not come up (the only two on are Power and Link). So it seems that the amp is dead...

moving the axis to its zero marker and mastering only that single axis seems to be the safest and quite fast way here

Hi,
I'm trying to launch an R-J3 controller, supervising 2 AM120 robots and an additional rotational axis. There are 2 Main CPU Boards inside the controller, one of which displays "7" (SYSFAIL). Both robots can be jogged without problems and both of them work in all modes (T1/T2/AUTO). But when it comes to the external axis, attempts to jog it end up with MOTN-054 "Uninitialized dest pos" alarm and the axis doesn't move (not to mention it doesn't work in any program and any mode).
I have performed mastering and calibration. I've also tried tried to check system variables and settings - there are 3 motion groups (2 for robots, 1 for the external axis) and everything seems to be ok.
Any ideas?

when using R-J3, you can check the password having image backup (which can be done by Boot Monitor).

Hi,
I need to connect a welding power source to my D43 controller via Profibus interface. Question: is it possible to define analog inputs (voltage and/or current) using this type of communication? If so, how is it done?
thank you

problem solved: missing 8-9 and 10-11 jumpers in TBOP5

hi,
I've encountered the very same problem when trying to launch an S-430i robot with R-J3 controller that has been removed from some factory and turned off for a long time. Already made jumpers in TBOP3 (EX OFF, SD), TBOP4 (EMGIN, FENCE, SVOFF), and TBOP5 (ESTOP) but errors are still there. Anyone?
BTW, what is that NTED (Non-Teacher Enabling Device)?

Hi,
I could use a manual for connecting I/O's for C4G/C5G. Anyone?
