I'm not quite sure on the model as I just want to get familiar with the programming of the OTC. I would like the programming manual for any particular model. I'm sure the different models are very similar, is that correct?

Does anyone have any of the OTC Programming / Operator Manuals? Or any resources as to acquire them? Thank you

Might also press the arrow keys on both sides of teach pendant (by the F keys), more options available there

Hello, I am interested in learning more the differences between Fanuc & OTC welding robots (very knowledgeable w/ fanuc programming and functions). Is OTC programmed on teach pendant by point to point similar to tp programs?

Had already tried that

Hello all,
I am trying to get to Menu ---> System ---> Configure ...... however the Configure option is not available on this particular robot. Is there a variable that I need to visit? Thanks Forum!

Hello,
We have a used GM Fanuc RJ2 Controller with SpotTool V4. 31-1 that we have recently installed for production. When booted up, a message: INTP-348 (ATSHELL 1094) Write I/O Value....... and PRIO-002 Illegal Index. The robot will not acknowledge the Operator Panel cycle start button when pressed in Auto (no faults), however I can run my TP Program in Teach mode with no problems. I think the robot is waiting for an external input signal to start the cycle from previous application, and I'm not sure how to change that. I've read on the threads some have found success by changing variables:Ensure that the Remote Switch is set to Local
$SHELL_WRK. $KAREL_UOP (and SOP)=FALSE
$RMT_MASTER=0 and have tried 3
$shell_cfg.$start_mode=0After trying the above with no success I am at a lost. I would greatly appreciate any help! Thanks

Did this fix your problem?

I have a Fanuc RJ2 Controller with a S420iW Robot that will not jog in anything except Joint Coordinates. When I try to jog I get: MOTN-109 INTR error. I've tried to cold start the controller while holding the reset and shift keys with no change. I can write a TP program and run it, but just can't jog in WORLD.

PB, what is that? and what is a general positionner?

Hello, I am looking to install an extra servo motor so that I can have 7 axis on a Fanuc RJ2 S420iF robot and control. I have no experience in doing this, what are the necessary requirements to add a seventh axis servo motor? Software, extra parts, etc.... Thanks!!!

Here is the plug I am talking about!

Hello, I have a S-420iW robot that has had the 4th axis motor power cable plug destroyed. It was "repaired" (electrical tape and zip ties) sometime ago, and the repair finally fell apart on the floor leaving little evidence of how it was wired up. I have an extra plug, and am only needing to find out which wires go to which pins inside of the plug. There are four pins and 8 wires total consisting of 2 red wires, 2 white wires, 2 green wires, and 2 black wires. I know that the old plug had 2 sets of 1 white and 1 red together and had 1 green and 1 black together. If anyone has any info on this matter please let me know!!!! Thanks!!!!

I thought that the X11 plug was the safety circuit plug?
-
I/O on the X11 plug? I did not know this, are all of the wires in the X11 plug available I/Os? Thank you!!!
-
I do not have any available I/O, what would be my next step.... Do I buy some I/O cards and install them (part number???) or do I have other options? Thank you so much!

The variable: SIGNAL $T2_ENABLE $IN[1025] SAFETY-SPEED was set to 3 instead of 1025. Works great now, thanks guys!

I'll check out that variable! And it recognizes T2. Thanks for the replies!

Hi eureka
I copied exactly what you typed in and I got a mouthful of errors. Was there anything else I needed to do, or just simply copy what you typed? -
I thought it could be the variable: $COM_VAL_MI (Limitation of Command Speed), but it is not. If you can think of that variable, that would be great! haha
We have one robot in the plant that does not have the speed restrictions. I tried to archive all files on that robot and restore it into my test robot, but sadly that did not change the speed restrictions. Any ideas?
Thanks
