On the Motoman program. also it is a var, because it is the value of the robot at $P013
IF you have any doubts, display the value of P000, write down and run what Potis told you, then run the Motoman program

1] on the i/o list, check ethernet/ip and see if you can make it TRUE and goes ONLINE (after you connect it to the PLC)
2) you digital I/o config and see if you have rack 89
3) your host comm, and see if yo can communicate with the PL using port 1 and an adecuate IP address -

What I mean by not driving the robot to the exact location is I would like to write the program in notepad as I know the coordinate positions.
Yes, you can write the program and coordinates en notepad BUT I would recommend to create a program and teach your P015 and find out the x,y,zThen use a P (lets say P014) a keep it 0,0,0,0,0,0
Set P015 P014 here you zero P015
Sete P015 1 XXXX
Sete P015 2 yyyyYou dont have to zero P015 every time because it's zero when you work with it

I think you got it pretty well, The description you wrote is correct.
What I don't understand is "without driving the robot to the exact location?" ?You can write the SETE commands anywhere in the program and when you execute MOVJ P015, the robot will go where the x,y and z indicate

Adding to leopard
For safety reason every time something changes on your DCS or regarding your DCS, then Fanuc ask you to apply again.
I'm glad for thisAnyway. like leopard said, found out what change and if it only it's the tool length for example, then define 2 tools in your tool model
DCS has the tool exchange capability, I've never done it but I've seen the parameter -

I integrated around 60 Fanuc robots in the 2 years but I did not buy them, therefore Fanuc USA ignores my phone calls.No bad intention or thoughts on this post, just posting facts to answer a question
