You can change teachpendent without backup or restore procedures, because all modification of user program and your favorite screen will store on the flash card inside of robot controller not on the flexpendent

By installing robot ware in side of robot controller you can erase tech pendent communication fault ,but some time you have to check the heat sing CPU of mother board ,you can use silicon between heat sing and CPU’s surface .

I have fanuc robot S420F-HT with RJ2. Controller .during robot teaching on my program, robot was stopped .
and at the moment when I select program menu, keys of teach pendent will be locked and 3 error RED LED on the axis controller board will lit.
And also when I push the edit menu or memory status, I can see these 2 error number on the teach pendent:TPIF-017 WARN Memory read failed
MEMO-103 WARN Check sum error occurredFor this I have pressed and hold the SHIFT and RESET keys and While still pressing the SHIFT and RESET keys, I turned robot controller on but error is not cleared !!!!!
Fortunately I can jog the robot and also I can calibrate it. I guess problem is for the memory of robot !!!!!!!!!
According the fanuc documentation if I Press and hold the PREV and NEXT keys on the teach pendant, and then press the ON button.
The boot monitor prompt, BMON>, is displayed. But I couldn’t.
Does anybody has aide and help me? Why I couldn’t see boot menu?

J2 means W Axis
J3 mens U AxisWhen we press J3 only mtor Axis U will turn.(Robot aram moves Up/Down)
When we Press J2 motor axis U also is Turning with motor axis W in wrong direction and same speed .Robot arm Moves Forward and Bacward.these are right ????

I put the motors on the right position on the manipulator and charge oil and grease according of manual .While I want to move robot axis I get the error message:
350 U AXIS EXCESSIVE (STOP)
Some time I can reset the error with rest key on the teach pendent but not all of time .in Case of error acknowledge when I jog the axis W to – direction (Downwards), back balancer of the robot moves down .in my aide this should be wrong ?is it true? -

My first problem was over current on axis W, so I pull out motor axis W to find the problem, to find the location of the error for example problem in gearbox or motor .
According of your explanation this situation for motor moving of robot is normal and it's strange for me when I compare it with ABB and kuka .
So I will put the motors on the manipulator and in case trouble inform you .thanks again for answering. -
Hello friends
I have one Fanuc robot S-420. I had a problem, so I decided to pull out motor axis U and axis W.
Now the motors are on the table and in front of me .when I select coordinate system on JOINT, so I use U jog button just motor axis U is turning but when i press W jog button Motor, in a same time to motor axis is turning U and W!!!!!!!
But in my idea in Joint coordinate system each motor should be driven independently. In this case I have changed servo drive of axis U and W ,axis computer board ,I/O computer board ,also the motor axis 2 and 3 on the manipulator but result is the same !!!!
Can any body has this experience or help me? Because I have worked with kuka and abb robot.Best regards

It seems your connection diagram is right.But in Configure AUTO EXTERN inputs Menu ,assign signal 1025 for DRIVES_OFF and for temporary check assign signal 1025 for MOVE_ENABLE
As you know KRC1 is very old robot so maybe ESD board is not working well.according my last experience you can remove plastic cover of relay box and clean it by Electronic spray cleaner.you will get good result if be lucky man .

What are the port names for Profisafe protocol and for the Profinet Master/Salve in KRC4 control cabinet (Like as X66 or X...??)
it means we have to use two separate Ethernet cable :one for Safety Section(Profisafe By Siemens Fail safe PLC) and One for Control Section(Profinet By Soft PLC or other Standard PLC)
It is right ?????Please Help
