  • Error at input 2 & input 3: KUKA KR C4 Compact

If i SC the fence-gate i get no errors on that input. So fail at contact? Fence goes to Sick safety relays I3&i4. from I3&I4 to Q3&Q4. Q3&Q4 to K3 &K4 A1(24V). The X11 pins then on the NO-gates of the contact.

    Which terminals?

reset-button contacts directy transfered to terminals - they are then wired to the X11 pins. Should they go through a contactrelay?

The reset-button is connected directly to terminals that are directly connected to the X11 - maybe the fail is here? Connected through a manual button?

I am working on a KUKA KR C4 Compact controller. I will try to describe the issue:

When I start up the KUKA (in T1 mode), I get no error messages. Everything looks fine and i can move the robot.

However, when I press my Reset button to activate the contactor relay, I get the following errors:

    • Safe device CIB SR Safety Module (SION-SIB-SR): Error at input 2 - originator: KS
    • Safe device CIB SR Safety Module (SION-SIB-SR): Error at input 3 - originator: KS
    • Safety Stop - originator KS

I understand that input 2 is "operator safety" (door switches), and input 3 is "acknowledge operator safety" (reset button).
These are connected to the X11 interface on pins 3-4 and 12-13 for the contactor relay associated with the door switches, and on X11 pins 5-6 and 14-15. These connections have been thoroughly checked and tested, but I cannot clear the error messages once they appear.

I am using a SICK UE410-MU4T5 safety relay.

attached is the wireing and fail message:

  • KUKA KR C4 Compact; External EMERGENCY STOP

    Hi

I have a the controller witch says it has an error with the External Emergency stop. The X11 is wired as shown below.

K1 & K2 being contacts connected to the external emergency stop. The emergency stop is working as expected, but the KUKA controller is not happy. I have tried both NO and NC contacts. I am not a software-guy so i havent touched the teach-pendant. What should i do?
