People assume that multiple protocols can always be used along the same piece of wire where ethernet connectivity is concerned.
It is not always the case and certainly isn't with Kawasaki E controllers and can cause problems.
That is why they provide 2 ports.So if you are encountering issues on a single port, if the other is available, then use that for programming/online/editing via telnet port 23.
Or go back to the RS232 connection, slow but always works.
How is previous connection being terminated. By closed the socket.
